Shkodra Lake - on the border of Montenegro with Albania is, in fact, a former sea bay that was cut off from the Adriatic when the sea levels dropped, thousands of years ago. The lake is the largest in the Balkans at 41km long and with the surface between 370-530 km2. As its depth is up to 60 metres , the bottom of the lake is well below sea level, making it a so-called crypto depression. Shkodra Lake

I was expecting some contact from the tour company on the day before the tour but I didn’t get any messages. I sent them a message in the evening on WhatsApp, which they did reply to and I got the guide details later that night. Olsi was my guide to skhodra and the lakes. It was a great tour, but unfortunately the weather was not so good in the afternoon. However, this did not dampen our spirits. We talked about lots of current things, as well as history. I enjoyed the day very much. He also gave some really good advice on other places to visit. I would recommend this tour.
