Private Transfer multiple stops.

We used this company for a private transfer from Venice to Pisa and Sorrento and then, a few days later, from Sorrento to Rome. The company was great, the vehicle was brand new (Mercedes sprinter van), the prices were fair, but the difference maker was our driver (Dario). We had several hours over multiple days to visit while he told us about Italy, his home town (Naples), the sights we saw as we drove along the highway, and even his family. Darío picked us up as our driver, but dropped us off as our friend! We look forward to the next time we meet up, maybe in Texas where we can roll out the red carpet and show Dario some Texas hospitality!

Visit to Praiano

Dario was a great driver and became part of our family for the two days he drove us. He picked us up in Rome and drove us to our Airbnb in Praiano. He had so much knowledge of the region and even stopped so we could enjoy a lemon slush on the side of the road. He called the Airbnb before we arrived just to let them know when we would be there. He then picked us up a few days later to take a tour of Pompeii with a wine visit after and then drove us back to Rome. He drove through towns to give us a better history of the region. The tour guide in Pompeii was amazing and Dario set it all up as well as a great winery visit after Pompeii. Driving back to Rome he put on some great music to pass the time and we really enjoyed his taste in music. We all loved how personable and thoughtful Dario was.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I really appreciate your kind words and support. Also, a big thank you for mentioning Dario, he's truly special! I hope to see you again soon. Take care and see you soon! Warm Regards Giovanni Guidone President Topexcursionsorrento

Private driver and tour guide to Pompeii from Sorrento

We had such an amazing experience in Pompeii with our private driver Aniello in a luxury Mercedes Van. It took away all the stress of a busy full of tourists. His warm friendly personality and genuine care as a driver was appreciated by our entire family. Our Private Pompeii guide Francesco was fun and knowledgeable with extensive experience as an archeologist at Pompeii. The day was made complete by a delicious lunch at a winery high on the slopes of Vesuvius. The view from the vines was superb. I wholeheartedly recommend Top Excursions Sorrento and a very special “Grazie” to Aniello.

Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pompeii.

How much does Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $1714 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pompeii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pompeii is not rushed.

Is Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pompeii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pompeii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pompeii and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Shared Tour Pompeii Excavations And Wine Tasting And Lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pompeii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pompeii?

+

On Outty we rank every Pompeii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Minivan Trip from Rome: Pompeii Tour & Lunch in Sorrento, Skip the Line Guided Tour of Pompeii Led by an Archaeologist, Explore Pompeii with an Archaeologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pompeii?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pompeii?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
