Agonizing journey to and from Essaouira
To start off, the driver was half an hour late. He then collected another ?tourist from a hotel then dropped off the ?tourist to a bank to exhange money, that ?tourist didn't comeback to the van. The driver stopped for petrol and drove 45 minutes around Medina (Marrakech). We were then handedover to another van where we needed to wait for other tourists joining the tour. This wasn't explained to us by the driver as he doesn't speak English. We left Medina (Marrakech) at 9:15am. We had 3 stops along the way, the 3rd one was Argan place. We had to wait there for 30 minutes (some other tourists) are buying the products. We arrived in Essaouira at 12:50pm. The journey from Medina (Marrakech) to Essaouira is supposed to be less than 3 hours. We arrived there after almost 5 hours! In the end, we only had 3 1/2 hours to eat lunch and explore Essaouira. Such a shame. That's the last time I'm booking a tour with them. I'm extremely disappointed.

How far in advance should I book Shared group day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
