A Sunday in Essaouira!

The driver (Ibrahim) was punctual and careful. The car was very comfortable. Ibrahim even helped us find a guide for visiting the city which was not easy (last minute and high season). Thank you Ibrahim!

Response from the operator: Merci pour votre retour ! Nous sommes ravis de savoir qu'Ibrahim a rendu votre expérience agréable et a su vous accompagner même dans l'organisation de dernière minute. Nous espérons vous revoir pour une prochaine aventure !

Good trip but pick up let the trip down

Essaouria is lovely, I recommend a trip but it is a long day. Unfortunately the way this company operated added over an hour unnecessarily, so I can't recommend them. We were ready for 8am as per the instructions, the driver sent a message saying he would be with us at 8.10am which would have been ok but it was almost half past when he arrived. He then drove us around while he did two cash in hand taxi runs all the time arguing with someone on his mobile. When we started heading back into the city we started to worry we were being scammed. Finally an hour after pick up (an hour and a half after we'd been ready to leave) we were dropped just 4km from our hotel to meet with the rest of the tour group. After this things were smoother, but the communication from the driver was minimal and he refused to skip the argan oil visit despite none of the group wanting to go as we were running late. We got 4hrs in Essaouria rather than the advertised 6hrs but as it happened this was adequate. On the return journey there was little communication about drop off. Several people were confused about where they were dropped off and the driver seemed pretty grumpy. We arrived at our hotel just after 9pm (13hrs after the start time) and were turfed out on the roadside rather than being driven down to the building as with other trips.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely appreciate your kind words about Essaouira. However, we deeply regret that your experience with the pickup and overall logistics service did not meet your expectations; this is not the standard we aim to uphold. The delays you faced at the beginning of your day were caused by road construction and traffic congestion. We are not responsible for these unforeseen circumstances and are currently investigating the incident with our local operator to ensure it does not happen again. Please note that the stop at the Argan Oil Cooperative is a mandatory part of the program. If you prefer not to enter, you are welcome to wait outside while other guests participate. We ask that you be respectful of the preferences of others in the group. We apologize for any lack of flexibility in handling this matter. We also understand your frustration regarding the delivery process and the behavior of the driver. Every guest deserves a courteous, reliable, and well-coordinated experience from start to finish. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to provide the smooth and enjoyable day trip you deserve. If you return to Marrakech, please contact us directly. We would be honored to rectify the situation. Best regards,

How long does Shared Day Trip to Essaouira from Marrakech take?

+

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Shared Day Trip to Essaouira from Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 13-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Shared Day Trip to Essaouira from Marrakech?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, 3 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga Dunes & Camel Trek, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
