Spend Time in Shanghai - It is so worth it

Shanghai is a busy metropolitan city with beautiful pockets of history hidden in the skyscrapers and financial district. It was rainy and cold my first day but that just make touring Old Town and the Yuyang garden more atmospheric. The temples were beautiful and so peaceful even with all the people. I loved the soup dumplings and the street food in the water town. I cannot speak enough to how amazing my tour guide, Cathy, was. I got sick the first day and she was so attentive in making sure I was ok. When I go back to China in 2029 I will definitely use them again.

    Three days in Shanghai

The whole tour was excellent. The itinerary was so well thought out and made the most of our time. Kathy was amazing and full of energy and knowledge. The driver was prompt and efficient and really helped make things run smoothly. The vehicle was comfortable and clean with lots of water and tissues available. I would not hesitant to book again with this company and highly recommend Kathy as a tour guide. We did three days and while we still didn't fit everything in we did see a lot. Loved everything but one of the highlights was visiting water town and would suggest to add this as a must do. Also the Jade Buddha temple and the museum were amazing. Kathy also gave us great tips for lunch and made sure we didnt miss any local specialities. Highly recommended.

    Amazing time in China

Our experience in China was truly exceptional, and we owe it all to Catherine. From the very beginning, every detail of our trip was thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed, making the entire journey smooth, stress-free, and incredibly enriching. It was clear that a great deal of care and professionalism went into every aspect of the organization. All the guides arranged for us were outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty and culture of China. Every moment felt carefully curated, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the history, traditions, and unique charm of each place we visited. Everything was simply perfect. It is rare to encounter such a high level of care and excellence, and Catherine truly exceeded all our expectations. This trip will remain in our hearts as an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever. We wholeheartedly recommend Catherine to anyone considering a trip to China. Her service is nothing short of impeccable, and she deserves every bit of recognition for the remarkable work she does.

    Amazing time in Shanghai

We had the best 48 hrs in Shanghai bu taking this 2 day tour which covered all the major highlights in Shanghai. Our tour guide Kathy was brilliant, very cordial and helpful. We felt very welcome, no site seeing venue seemed rushed and all our special requests with respect to food and timing was met. Professional and enjoyable

Catherine Lu is a very professional agency and Catherine herself is conscientious. Our guide Henry had 20 years experience; knows history and excellent English. The driver was careful and respected. Our family of 5 had a private 2 day tour. Everything was well planned.

Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Shanghai.

How much does Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Shanghai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Shanghai is not rushed.

Is Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Shanghai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Shanghai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Shanghai and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Shanghai: All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour with Watertown start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Shanghai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Shanghai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Shanghai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Shanghai Full Day City Tour with Old and New Highlights, Suzhou Private Day Trip from Shanghai with Bullet Train Option, 4-Hour Flexible Private Shanghai City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Shanghai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Shanghai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
