    Inconsistent Experiences

Last year (July 2025) we took our son (1 1/2 years at the time) to Sesame Place and had the best day ever! Short lines, great entertainment, and a fantastic lazy River. We took him again this year (Aug 2026, age 2 1/2) and the experience was very different. It took an hour to get into the park, very long lines, the staff were disengaged teenagers, rude teens were being disrespectful to the little little kids, and the experience getting food was a nightmare. Our 2 experiences at SP couldn’t be more different. Both trips were on a Friday, but maybe the nicer experience was due to the fact that it was a cooler day for July? I recommend SP for kids under 2 if you can get there before the park opens and pack food. I do not recommend going on a typical summer day, especially if you’re trying to do the rides and purchase food.

    Very Disappointed!!!

I went there for the first time and i was highly disappointed. - The lines to get in were so long. - The parking was very expensive. - The food was expensive and cold. (i suggest you take your own food and drinks) - The staff that works there are young kids with nasty attitudes. A place like that should have friendlier staff. Overall, i do not recommend this place. Do not waste your time and money because you will be disappointed as well.

    Great time with family.

Pleasantly surprised. Had a great time. My grands loved it. The other children were well behaved as well. The water features were the best. Geared toward the more younger children. Food a bit pricey. All the characters were accessible.

    Smile You’re at Sesame Place

Spent Father’s Day at Sesame Place. It was a fun day overall, but I hope you take a lesson from places like Disney or even HersheyPark where guest experience starts the moment someone walks through the entrance and continues until they leave. Unfortunately, from the time we arrived until we exited, the majority of employees we encountered were rude and seemed uninterested in being there. A simple smile, greeting, or friendly interaction goes a long way. There were two exceptions: the young man working the swings ride, who was kind and engaging, and the gentleman dancing in the parade near Grover, who brought great energy and joy. They truly stood out. Please remind your team that the people visiting are there to make memories, and the employees are a huge part of that experience.

    Just average

Traveled from out of state and purchased the tickets early using the "buy one day and get the 2nd day free" promotion. This worked well for our 3 year old. Some rides were closed and others had long lines. Tough to stand in line for kids when it's 90 degrees outside. The biggest issue we ran into was poor employee training and lack of communication among employees. Mostly all very young employees that looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Food, beverages and gift items all overpriced.

Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Philadelphia.

How much does Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Philadelphia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Philadelphia is not rushed.

Is Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.6/5 across 251 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Philadelphia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket?

    +

Around 88 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Philadelphia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Philadelphia and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sesame Place Philadelphia Admission Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Philadelphia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Philadelphia?

    +

Philadelphia's core is walkable: Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell need timed entry, the mural arts programme runs the largest public art collection in the country, and the Reading Terminal and Italian Market food walks fill the middle of the day. Outty Ranking favours operators who secure Independence Hall tickets rather than sending you to the visitor centre queue. On Outty we rank every Philadelphia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Revolution and the Founders: History Tour of Philadelphia, Dark Philly Adult Night Tour, Philadelphia Old City Historic Walking Tour with 10+ Top Sites. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Philadelphia?

    +

April to June and September to October, mild weather and open patios. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Philadelphia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
