Just general information; not really a tour

The recordings are not really a tour. They are just a description of and information about the place you will visit

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave a response, Barry. However, we must respectfully but firmly address the inaccuracy and misleading nature of your review, as it directly contradicts the clearly documented product description that was available to you before booking. Our product listing explicitly states — in the Additional Information section — that this is a self-guided audio tour, not a GPS-guided or live guided tour. The audio guides are professionally produced descriptions and informational content about each attraction, which is precisely what an audio tour is, by definition. Every traveler who reads the product description before booking understands exactly what they are purchasing. Describing our product as "just general information" is not only factually misleading but also ignores what is clearly and transparently communicated in our listing. Our tour provides complete flexibility — travelers receive a full audio guide playlist via SoundCloud covering all attractions, an interactive itinerary map via Google My Maps, private access links delivered before the tour start time, and the freedom to explore at their own pace, in any order, across multiple days if preferred. All of this is spelled out in detail in the Additional Information section of our product page. A traveler who reads and follows the instructions receives exactly what is promised — a rich, flexible, self-guided audio experience. We also wish to bring to your attention that while all tourist attractions featured in this tour are free to visit, travelers may need to purchase their own tickets if any attraction charges fees for special sections or has recently implemented fees for additional services — a point also clearly noted in our listing. We strongly believe this review does not reflect a legitimate assessment of our product and is instead the result of a failure to read the product description prior to booking. Reviews of this nature are confusing, irrelevant to what this product actually offers, and unhelpful — or worse, actively misleading — to future travelers who are genuinely researching this experience. We formally request that this review be reconsidered for removal from this platform, as it does not accurately represent our product and risks discouraging genuine travelers based on false expectations. --- ⚠️ Ethical Standards Warning: We encourage honest feedback, but require it to be factual, ethical, and based on legitimate experiences rather than personal assumptions or attempts to discredit our professional services. Future travelers should be aware that some reviews may be written with ulterior motives rather than genuine customer experiences. We maintain strict standards for ethical business practices and will take appropriate action to protect our reputation and honest customers.

You probably don’t need to do this

It’s not exactly expensive so some of the information is probably worth it but felt more like I was listening to a podcast and it was more about the narrators reading from a script than anyone really giving useful information. Also, the accents are inauthentic and annoying, which doesn’t help for your listening pleasure.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. However, we need to address several inaccuracies in your feedback that may mislead other travelers. Our Seoul Self-Guided Audio Tour clearly states it covers 16 specific attractions with approximately 20 minutes of detailed content per location, totaling over 5 hours of comprehensive audio material. This is explicitly mentioned in our tour description, yet your review vaguely refers to "tourist attractions" without acknowledging the substantial content provided or the specific locations covered. You mention the tour "felt like listening to a podcast" - this suggests you didn't properly utilize the interactive Google Maps feature that coordinates with each attraction's location-specific audio guide. Our system is designed so you listen to relevant content while physically present at each site, not as background audio divorced from the actual locations. Your comment about it being "fine for low budget" misrepresents our offering. We provide over 5 hours of professionally produced content covering 16 major Seoul attractions with complete flexibility to explore at your own pace, take breaks, and even split the experience across multiple days. This represents exceptional value compared to traditional guided tours that lock you into fixed schedules. The tour description clearly explains our self-guided audio format, total duration, number of attractions, and what to expect. Writing a review that ignores these clearly stated details while making generalized negative comments doesn't serve other travelers who are trying to make informed decisions about whether our tour format suits their needs. We encourage future travelers to read our detailed description to understand exactly what our comprehensive 16-attraction audio experience offers.

Do not use

Ordered the English version and was billed. They sent the Spanish version and did not respond to my request for the English version for 11 hours ( after we did the walk). I believe this is a scam from India. I have asked for a refund and none was given. I will be contacting VISA to try to get the payment cancelled. Service unacceptably slow and not helpful.

Response from the operator: Regarding the language selection issue you mentioned, our booking system clearly states in the additional information section that customers must "Select your preferred audio guide language during booking" and that "Language selection cannot be changed after confirmation." This information is prominently displayed to prevent exactly the type of confusion you experienced. If a customer's preferred language isn't available, we explicitly request they "contact us 48+ hours in advance and we'll prepare it specially for you." These details are provided upfront to ensure customers make informed decisions during the booking process. Your baseless accusation calling our legitimate business "a scam from India" is not only factually incorrect but represents extremely unethical behavior that damages businesses without any supporting evidence. Making such inflammatory and potentially defamatory statements about a company's operations and location demonstrates a concerning lack of responsibility and integrity in your reviewing practices. This type of reckless behavior misleads other travelers and causes unjustified harm to businesses that work hard to provide quality services. Your claim about our response time and service quality doesn't align with our standard operating procedures. We maintain detailed records of all customer communications and response times. If you have documentation proving the specific timeline and communication issues you've described, we would appreciate you sharing this evidence so we can investigate properly and improve our service where necessary. We find it deeply troubling when reviewers make unsubstantiated accusations and spread misinformation about legitimate businesses. Such irresponsible behavior undermines the entire review system that genuine travelers depend on for honest feedback. Our tour program details, terms, and customer support procedures are clearly outlined in our booking information, which customers agree to when making their purchase. For future travelers reading this review, please be aware that some individuals post reviews containing false accusations and unverified claims that can mislead your travel decisions. We encourage you to carefully review all tour details, language options, and terms provided during booking. Our self-guided audio tour system is designed to give you complete flexibility to explore Seoul at your own pace, with clear instructions provided for accessing both the audio content and interactive maps. If you have any concerns or questions about our service, we maintain open communication channels and are committed to resolving legitimate issues promptly and professionally.

Want a refund, you sold me a product I was not able to use

I could not use the product, the audio I purchased was for 5:00pm and the placed closed at 5pm. Want a refund please

Response from the operator: This appears to be a case where the reviewer failed to read the clearly provided tour information before purchasing and using our self-guided audio experience. Our Seoul Self-Guided Audio Tour is designed with complete flexibility in mind, which is explicitly stated in our tour description and booking information. The reviewer's claim about a "5:00pm audio" demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how our product works. Unlike traditional guided tours with fixed schedules, our self-guided audio experience allows travelers to start, pause, and explore at any time that suits their schedule. The audio content is accessible through secure links sent via email and can be used whenever attractions are open to the public. The tour description clearly states that travelers receive two links on their selected travel date - one for the audio content via SoundCloud and another for an interactive map via Google My Maps. These tools are specifically designed to give visitors complete control over their itinerary, allowing them to visit attractions when convenient and spend as much or as little time at each location as they prefer. The flexibility to "split the tour across multiple days" is explicitly mentioned in our instructions. Furthermore, our additional information section clearly outlines that this is a self-guided experience where travelers "can choose where to start and finish according to your preference." We also specify what travelers need to bring - headphones, a charged smartphone, and internet access - indicating this is a digital, self-directed experience rather than a time-restricted tour. This review appears to represent the type of irresponsible travel behavior where customers purchase products without reading descriptions, then attempt to shift blame when their own lack of preparation creates problems. The reviewer's demand for a refund based on their failure to understand a clearly explained product is unreasonable and unfair to our business. We encourage potential travelers to read our comprehensive tour descriptions and additional information sections, which provide detailed explanations of how our audio guides work. Our customer support team is always available to answer questions before booking to ensure travelers understand exactly what they're purchasing. Genuine travelers who take time to understand our product consistently enjoy the freedom and flexibility our self-guided audio experience provides throughout Seoul's incredible attractions.

Poor, avoid.

Really bad. The guides are just a few mins each, no real insight, and not well read. Strongly advise against this.

Response from the operator: This review appears to fundamentally misrepresent the content and quality of our Seoul Self-Guided Audio Tour, raising concerns about whether the reviewer actually used our product as intended or at all. The claim that our guides are "just a few mins each" contradicts the extensive, detailed content we provide for each of Seoul's 16 featured attractions. Our tour description clearly outlines comprehensive coverage including Gyeongbokgung Palace's 600-year history, Bukchon Hanok Village's architectural secrets, Changdeokgung Palace's UNESCO-recognized gardens, and detailed explorations of cultural landmarks like Jogyesa Temple, the War Memorial, and National Museum. Each audio guide provides rich historical context, exclusive local insights, and compelling storytelling that transforms locations into vivid chapters of Seoul's remarkable story. The reviewer's assertion of "no real insight" directly contradicts our documented content covering everything from royal court intrigue and Buddhist symbolism to modern architectural marvels and Korean cultural traditions. Furthermore, the complaint about narration being "not well read" conflicts with our professional audio production featuring crystal-clear, expertly recorded content with engaging delivery designed to bring ancient tales and modern marvels to life. Our tour description specifically highlights the passionate narrator whose storytelling transforms each location into an immersive cultural experience. Either the reviewer accessed incorrect content, experienced technical issues they failed to report to our customer support team, or is providing feedback based on incomplete usage of our product. This type of vague, unsubstantiated criticism without specific examples or constructive feedback suggests the reviewer may not have properly accessed or utilized our comprehensive audio guides and interactive mapping system. Genuine users consistently appreciate the depth of historical insights, local perspectives, and flexible exploration options our tour provides. We encourage potential travelers to read our detailed attraction descriptions and understand the extensive cultural content included before making purchasing decisions, rather than relying on reviews that appear to mischaracterize the actual product experience.

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 44 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
