Worthwhile tour
Had a lovely time on this tour. Micheal was a gracious tour guide and we saw many amazing food stands and other shops at the Gwangiang Market. We even tried raw octopus! Walking along Cheonggyecheon stream was a terrific experience. It’s wonderful to see how much the vegetation has grown since we were last in Seoul 18 years ago.

Our guide Rachel went...
Our guide Rachel went above and beyond. We were so lost on the subway on our way there and she gave me step by step instructions on how to arrive. Then when we got there she provided some insightful info on Seoul and Korea while we enjoyed our meal. Then took a stroll along the Cheonggyechong stream while locals dipped their toes in to cool off. Lovely experience 💖

Nope
Unfortunately I think our tour guide might have been having a bad day. Took us to the market and walked us around the linen and cloth section and showed us the different food areas and said ok I’ll see you in an hour. Go forth and get some food. After that went for a walk along the stream and then said goodbye. Not exactly what I would call a “foodie walking tour”! Don’t bother with this one.

Am accompanied walk around the market
I have been on food tours in other cities and this one was disappointing. I felt little information was given about the dishes and the market. We just had someone to accompany us to walk around the market and, while a few dishes were suggested, it felt like much of the tour was free time, buy what you want and the guide would help you. I knew we had to pay for our own dishes but didn't feel this tour was good value. Felt it was overpriced for what you got compared to other food tours where you pay a similar amount and the guide buys you a taste of many dishes. More information about food culture could have been given.
