I signed up for the class...

I signed up for the class and indicated that my daughter was Gluten Free. Upon arriving we were told that it was not and it said so in the description. In fact it did not say that but they were nice enough to pivot and include a risotto that my daughter could prepare and eat.

Response from the operator: Good morning, I’m the chef who led your cooking class in Florence, and I wanted to personally address your review. I must say I was quite surprised and saddened by your feedback. As I mentioned during the class, the booking page clearly states that gluten-free and vegan participants are not permitted in this group format. It also explains that anyone with specific dietary needs, such as gluten-free, should book a private or dedicated class. Despite this, we did everything we could to accommodate your daughter: we prepared an extra gluten-free dish, cleaned and set up a dedicated space for her, and made sure she could still enjoy the experience as much as possible—even though this was not included in the service you booked. That’s why I find it unfair to blame us for what was, in reality, a misunderstanding on your part. To help clarify, I’m attaching a screenshot showing exactly what was stated at the time of booking. We take great pride in offering thoughtful, quality experiences to all our guests, and we’re truly sorry that this situation has led to disappointment. Warm regards,

Exceptional - best experience in Tuscany!

This was by far the highlight of our whole trip. Myself and my partner had the best time. Vary was extremely friendly, kind and her enthusiasm and love of cooking was infectious. My partner is lactose intolerant, and she made an effort to make the menu available to him, highlighting how there was no need to compromise on flavour. Every need was met without making us feel like we were any trouble. The class is a great size and we really felt like we learnt a lot and that Vary gave all of her attention. The ingredients were of high quality and the meals were inspired - so creative and tasty. The class was the perfect pace, we got to prepare all the fresh ingredients, make the pasta dough, and shape the pasta, and never felt rushed. The cooking lasted about 2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time for learning but not tiring. It was by far the best food we ate whilst here. We were offered wine to go with our lunch. The kitchen is beautiful, and it was a lovely place to sit and eat lunch. The whole experience was fantastic and I think it’s incredible value for money (if anything, I would have been happy to pay extra). We can’t wait to try and recreate the meals at home (Vary sends the recipes by email afterwards!). I highly recommend this class for exceptional food, great fun, valuable learning and a wonderfully kind and enthusiastic host.

Chef Vary was incredible! She...

Chef Vary was incredible! She personalized our menu to match our dietary restrictions, and was brimming with amazing cooking tips and information about authentic Italian Cuisine. Her kitchen is beautiful and the pace of the cooking instruction was perfect. Best of all, the food was FANTASTIC. Without a doubt the most delicious ravioli we ever had and we made it ourselves!.

Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic cost?

+

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Semi private Pasta Class Vegetarian Organic start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

+

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
