About this experience
The Tour Scenario: A city that unfolds in front of your eyes. Different elements and colors of Athens, Mythical stories and historical debates. Discover Athens beyond sightseeing. Under hot sun and around the slopes of the sacred hill of the Acropolis, gods and heroes wandered. The goddess Athena, flesh of the father of Gods, all mighty Zeus, was released from his head. Athena, was the protector of the city of Athens, which was the cradle of dialogue, philosophy, athletic equity and drama. We invite you to share with us the story of Greek mythology and history which will inspire you. Gliding on a Segway through the streets of this mythical city is the way we choose to familiarize you with its secrets and charms. An extraordinary way, the SEGYOURWAY. Should you follow us to this spectacular tour, we will cruise through a narrative of politics and ideals, of art and trade, of love and sorrow that is interlaced with the city.

A good way to see the ancient sites.
Our guide was knowledgeable and personable responding well to our questions and attentive to our safety and well-being. His English was fluent and as well as history we discussed Greek and European politics and society. The segways were well maintained and in good condition with storage space for our valuables and the water the company provided. The safety helmets had been cleaned and sterilised prior to use. The communication headsets were comfortable to wear and allowed us to hear the guide clearly without interference. The tour took in the Acropolis, Mars Hill, the ancient agora, the Roman agora and baths and the Olympic amphitheatre as well as Byron’s memorial and interesting back streets. Occasionally streets were crowded and progress a bit slower.

Easy, effective and fun (but a hot day!)
The Segway was a surprisingly effective way to get an overview to the major sites on a very hot summer day. I wish we could have found shadier spots to stop when our guide was relaying site information or if we could have kept moving to keep the breeze moving. We did the tour on our first afternoon and I thought it was a great overview. We did this with our 20 year old daughter and 14 year old boys and everyone enjoyed it. I recommend it!
Response from the operator: We appreciate your review and we are very glad that you chose SegYourWay Athens! As we strive for excellence, it is always a pleasure to know that our guests were happy with their choice! Once again, thank you very much! The SegYourWay Team

HIGHLY recommend this amazing experience! :D
This experience is without doubt a "20" on a scale of 1-10 --- it was one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip to Greece! We were greeted by a friendly and highly organized staff, offered refreshments, lockers for our belongings and excellent training by Anna- Maria and our tour guide, George. Better yet, George's vast wealth of historical knowledge, helpful nature, and area expertise made our 3-hour tour absolutely and I do mean 💯 percent ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The attention to detail prior, during, and after the tour was second to none. Every single person on our tour noticed this. George, you are AMAZINNNNNG and Anna-Maria, you are AWESOMMMME. Thanks so much for such an incredible experience. We will never forget it!!!

Quality of Segway...
Quality of Segway equipment was top notch as was our guide. Partway thru the the tour we stopped for a refreshment and treat that was wonderful. What was NOT wonderful during conversation at stop, the person next to me said she was not vaccinated which was very concerning to me. Stop should not take place if vaccination status is not enforced. The last part of tour is thru a VERY crowded pedestrian area that should be avoided.

Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present cost?
+
Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Segway Journey: Athens Tour From The Ancient Past To The Present start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
