A Wonderful Taste of Some Spanish Classics

Day tour to Segovia and Avila from Madrid. This was a wonderful way to see too of Spain's classic sites in a day out of Madrid. I was pleasantly surprised that the giant bus was not full. Our guide, Pilar, was extremely knowledgeable, delightfully casual and I greatly admired her fluency switching back and forth between Spanish and English.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We’re so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found your guide knowledgeable and approachable. It’s wonderful to know that all your questions were answered and that the walking pace was comfortable throughout the experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

    Highly recommended

This was such a lovely day trip, the journey was pleasant and there was a little history along the way. Segovia is stunning, the tour guide gave clear instructions both in Spanish and English. There were plenty of photo opportunities and also free time to explore. The stop at Avila seemed short but I felt like we toured the best part. It would have been nice to have a little more time and information here. Otherwise highly recommended!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the trip, our guide’s explanations, and the opportunity to explore Segovia and Ávila. We appreciate your feedback about the time in Ávila and will keep it in mind. We hope to welcome you again soon!

Fluently organised trip of 2 cities

An easy way to see two great cities without having to worry about anything yourself. The 9 hours went faster than we thought. The bus left and arrived exactly on time. There was enough time to see the essential sights and have some free time.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it a convenient way to discover two great cities without any worries. We are glad that the organization, punctuality, and balance between guided visits and free time met your expectations. We hope to welcome you again on another of our excursions.

Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.

How much does Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.

Is Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 532 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid?

    +

Around 186 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Segovia and Avila Guided Day Trip from Madrid start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
