Your exact tour itinerary will vary based on your interests, so be sure to tell your guide if there's something particular you want to see. By Jeep, head into the desert to the first vortex, where you'll learn how in 1981 medium Page Bryant identified these power grid sites, which have defied explanation for years. As you visit multiple vortexes, you may start to understand why people from all walks of life have traveled here for enlightening experiences. Wonderful tour!
I experienced a wonderful time on this tour! Brad, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and did a great job as a tour guide! I loved this tour and all of the places I experienced on the tour. Plus, choosing this company for a tour is great as they are a local company in Sedona! Support local non-corporate businesses!

Treasured experience
The adventure was exactly as we had hoped. My husband was apprehensive going into the ride, that changed quickly. Our knowledge grew of the Arizona land, plants, and the energy history. Our guide, Maymen was outstanding he didn’t rush us at the 3 stops. We felt safe and wanted to learn/see more.

Amazing experience of Sedona’s vortexes
We had a wonderful experience on our Sedona Vortex Tour with Whelan! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, considerate, and personable, making the entire experience both enjoyable and enlightening. We explored Rachel’s Knoll and the Amitabha Stupa - Whelan shared so much fascinating information about the vortex energy, the history of Sedona’s beautiful red rocks, and the state of Arizona. His knowledge and passion really added to the experience, and we walked away having learned so much more than we expected. I would highly recommend this experience. And if you’re lucky enough to have Whelan as your guide, even better!

Good for the first hour
The beginning of the tour was fabulous. David was informative and intelligent regarding various aspects of Sedona. However, the second half was more of a race through town and not the availability to stop and take pictures.

Is Sedona Vortex Jeep Experience: Energy Sites & Scenic Views worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 1,904 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Sedona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sedona Vortex Jeep Experience: Energy Sites & Scenic Views?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sedona Vortex Jeep Experience: Energy Sites & Scenic Views suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sedona Vortex Jeep Experience: Energy Sites & Scenic Views?
+
Around 666 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sedona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sedona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sedona Vortex Jeep Experience: Energy Sites & Scenic Views start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sedona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sedona?
+
Sedona's activity market is dominated by off-road jeep tours, and the difference between operators comes down to which trails they are permitted to run. Beyond that: vortex and energy walks, hot air balloon lifts at dawn, stargazing sessions in one of the darkest skies in the country, and Grand Canyon day runs north. We rank on permit access and group size. On Outty we rank every Sedona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Grand Canyon Complete Tour from Sedona or Flagstaff, Sedona’s ONLY Guided ATV Tour: Western Red Rock Backcountry, Kayak Tour on the Verde River. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sedona?
+
March to May and September to November. Summer afternoons bring monsoon storms. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sedona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
