DAY 1: HANOI - HALONG BAY - OVERNIGHT CRUISE (L/D) 08:30 – 08:30 | Pick-up time For those who book transfer service, our bus will collect guests from hotels around Hanoi Old Quarter or at Hanoi Opera House if your hotels/places outside. It takes nearly 2,5 hours for going by new expressway to Halong International Porrt 11:30: Arrive at Halong International Cruise Port – Where we will complete the check-in process and other procedures. Transfer to Scarlet Pearl Cruise. Welcome aboard! Enjoy a welcome drink during the cruise briefing, including safety instructions, before check-in to your cabin. A splendid lunch is served at Tahiti Restaurant while cruising into the primitive Lan Ha Bay.

Lan Ha cruise - Wonderful staff and ship. Very glad we did Lan Ha (quieter than Halong Bay)
On balance, it was worth it for the scenery and experience. As with any of these cruises, you will be one ship of many. The scenery is magnificent and the staff do everything to make your experience a personal one. Just go in with the mindset that you’re one of quite a few! You do forget about that by the time the first evening rolls round. In short: The staff (five star). Chris was a brilliant tour manager. The room on the ship (five). Facilities on the ship (five) Food was fine (four) Over experience: four.

Brilliant staff and spectacular views. A must see
If you are looking for a relatively intimate cruise with beautiful rooms and a top notch staff jump aboard the Scarlet Pearl. There are many options to cruise the bay, we were looking for a smaller cruise group with luxurious rooms and good food and we found it. Wendy and her staff were warm, friendly, professional and detail oriented. The cruise was run so efficiently yet allowed us to feel relaxed as the bay drew us into a zen state. There were many activities to keep you as involved as you cared to be or a relaxed and meditative as you wanted. We chose both, kayaking through the caves was as easy or active as you cared to make it and gave freedom to explore on our own. We were offered the most amazing foot massage in the spa, excellent services!! Wait til dark so you don’t miss the views. The cooking class was more of a learn how to roll a spring roll but they made it fun and delicious. Squid fishing was tranquil ( I don’t fish but I was drawn to the peaceful state given the surroundings. Then off to karaoke, the best part was watching the adorable, funny and energetic staff dancing along with a contagious enthusiasm. It’s obvious that the bay and its spectacular beauty are a given but without a pristine yacht and brilliant staff you could be on any boat. Kudos Wendy and crew you are fantastic!

Wow
Wow - we had an upgrade to cabin 211 and it was stunning! The bow of the ship was our private terrace and included a jacuzzi and a covered seating area. Service was great beginning to end - big shout out to Wendy. Food all of a high standard and plenty of it! Loved the kayak trip - really magical exploring the area and even going through the caves.

It wasn’t a great experience for the amount they charged. Would call it a restaurant in bay with very average food.
Overrated cruise. Food was not great, couldn’t see the caves as promised, just a round of that place. Only positive staff, was good.
