    Our day with Obi Tours

Our day with Obi Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our week in Puerto Vallarta! We booked the private Sayulita and San Pancho tour for our group of six, and from the moment Obi and Elizabeth picked us up in their clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van, we knew we were in good hands. Throughout the day, they shared so much knowledge about Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and the places we visited. Their passion for what they do really shines through, and they made every stop interesting and enjoyable. One of our favorite surprises was a stop at a roadside fruit stand where they had arranged a tasting of several local fruits. It was such a fun experience that we never would have found on our own. The tequila tasting was another unforgettable part of the day. It was entertaining, informative, and honestly featured the best tequila we’ve ever had! We learned so much and had a great time. In Sayulita, they took us to a wonderful beachfront restaurant before giving us free time to explore the town at our own pace. We also loved visiting beautiful San Pancho. One of the most thoughtful touches was that Elizabeth took photos throughout the entire tour—both candid and posed—and shared them with us afterward at no extra charge. It allowed us to simply enjoy the day while knowing the memories were being captured. What really sets Obi Tours apart is that this didn’t feel like a typical tour. It felt like spending the day with two wonderful people who genuinely love sharing their home and culture with their guests. If we’re fortunate enough to visit Puerto Vallarta again, we’ll absolutely be booking another tour with Obi and Elizabeth. They offer several different experiences, and we can’t wait to see more of the area with them. Thank you both for making our vacation so memorable. We highly recommend Obi Tours to anyone looking for a fun, informative, and truly personal experience in Puerto Vallarta!

Response from the operator: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this incredibly thoughtful and detailed review. Knowing that your day with us became one of the highlights of your Puerto Vallarta vacation truly means more than we can express. Liz and I loved sharing Sayulita, San Pancho, and a little more of our local culture with your wonderful group. It was a joy watching everyone enjoy each experience. Liz is especially happy that you appreciated the photos. We want our guests to remain present and enjoy every moment while we help preserve the memories for them. The greatest compliment you could give us is saying that the experience felt less like a typical tour and more like spending the day with friends. That is exactly what we hope every Obi Tours experience becomes. Our guests arrive as visitors, but we hope they leave feeling like part of our family. Thank you for trusting our family-owned business and for recommending us so highly. We would be honored to welcome you back to Puerto Vallarta and show you even more of this beautiful region on your next visit. With gratitude and warmest regards, Obi & Liz Obi Tours Let’s Go Places!

Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.

How much does Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta cost?

    +

Prices start at $117 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.

Is Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
