Step beyond the veil and into the haunting beauty of Bonaventure Cemetery, where crumbling angels keep silent watch beneath twisted oaks and trailing Spanish moss. On this daytime tour, you’ll wander a labyrinth of sorrow and splendor, tracing the lives—and lingering presence—of Savannah’s most storied souls. Among them, you’ll meet Little Gracie, the beloved child whose tragic death left behind a ghostly legend and a statue so lifelike it seems to breathe. In this garden of graves, the line between past and present blurs, and every monument whispers a tale of love, loss, and lingering spirits. If you have 10 or more guests in one group, please get in touch with the private & group sales coordinator with Ghost City Tours.

    1. Bonaventure Cemetery

Uncover the eerie elegance of Bonaventure Cemetery, where every stone tells a story and every path leads deeper into Savannah’s shadowed past. Visit the grave of Little Gracie, the city’s most beloved—and most ghostly—child, whose hauntingly lifelike statue draws mourners and the curious alike. Decode the hidden meanings carved into Victorian tombs—roses, urns, lambs, and weeping angels, all whispering tales of grief, faith, and remembrance. Along the way, stand before the final resting places of Savannah’s most famous historical figures, from poets and politicians to war heroes and eccentrics, and feel the weight of history in the stillness around you. It’s not just a cemetery—it’s a cathedral of Southern Gothic memory.

    Highly recommend

We took the walking tour of Bonaventure Cemetery, and it was wonderful! Alex was so knowledgeable about the history of Savannah and the cemetery. Her enthusiasm and friendly personality made the tour both fun and informative. Alex kept the group moving at a comfortable pace without ever making us feel rushed, and she took the time to answer everyone’s questions. You could really tell how much she enjoys sharing the history and stories of Savannah. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this tour.

    Casa Azul

Casa azul was a great property for the family. Plenty of room and pool was excellent to hang around. A few blocks walking to the beach and downtown. It was perfect for our family gathering.

Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Savannah.

How much does Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Savannah usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Savannah is not rushed.

Is Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 241 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Savannah, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour?

    +

Around 84 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Savannah can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Savannah and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Savannah within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Savannah?

    +

Savannah is a walking city with a dense guide market, which means quality spread is wide. Historic district walks, Bonaventure Cemetery trips, trolley hop-on routes and ghost tours with tavern access make up most bookings. Outty Ranking leans on licensed-guide status and group size, since the squares get loud once a tour passes twenty people. On Outty we rank every Savannah experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bonaventure Cemetery Walking Tour with Transportation, Historic Savannah Guided Walking Tour, Haunted Savannah Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Savannah?

    +

March to May for azaleas, or October to November for cool evenings. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Savannah?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour?

    +

Included: Local guide. Not included: Gratuity for your guide. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour?

    +

We meet at the entrance, near the main house. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Wheelchair accessible; and Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery Tour if the weather is bad?

    +

This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
