    Wasn’t as described

Wasn’t what we were expecting as a ghost tour. Heard a lot about history of Savannah and some of the horrible situations that have occurred here but didn’t feel like the tour matched the description.

This tour was not a win

I don’t even know how to adequately express our experience with this tour. First, we arrived at the meeting location at exactly 8:00 p.m., only to discover that the tour had already left. We called and were told that we would not receive a refund. Fortunately, as we were leaving to head back home, we happened to find the tour group. From the moment we joined the group, we knew this was not going to be the experience we had expected. Our guide was dressed more like a camp counselor than a professional tour guide, and he spoke with such uncertainty that it was difficult to feel confident in the information he was providing. At each stop, the guide rambled on and repeatedly emphasized that what he was telling us was based on “folklore” and “hearsay.” Rather than creating a spooky or entertaining atmosphere, the tour was neither scary nor particularly engaging. At best, some of the information was mildly interesting. Ultimately, we left the tour early because we simply could not continue listening to the guide. We were extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially considering the cost and the fact that we were told there would be no refund after missing the group initially. This was not at all the entertaining, frightening, or professionally presented experience we were expecting. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this tour based on our experience.

    Fun and interesting!

A fun and interesting tour. Our guide Austin was very knowledgable and entertaining. This was our first ghost tour, so we didn't know what to expect, but found it to be "spooky" enough as we heard the legends surrounding some of Savannah's history, yet not "hokey". Would recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad Austin made your first ghost tour such a fun and memorable experience. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the mix of Savannah history, local legends, and just the right amount of spooky without it feeling over-the-top. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to him. Thanks for joining us and for the recommendation!

Savannah Beyond Good & Evil Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Savannah.

How much does Savannah Beyond Good & Evil Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Savannah usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Savannah Beyond Good & Evil Tour take?

    +

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 584 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Savannah, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Savannah Beyond Good & Evil Tour?

    +

    +

What should I bring or wear?

    +

    +

Savannah is a walking city with a dense guide market, which means quality spread is wide. Historic district walks, Bonaventure Cemetery trips, trolley hop-on routes and ghost tours with tavern access make up most bookings. Outty Ranking leans on licensed-guide status and group size, since the squares get loud once a tour passes twenty people. On Outty we rank every Savannah experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bonaventure Cemetery Walking Tour with Transportation, Historic Savannah Guided Walking Tour, Haunted Savannah Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Savannah?

    +

March to May for azaleas, or October to November for cool evenings. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Savannah?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
