Solid Pele history tour
So much of Santos is rooted in Pele that it was great to understand more of the history. Although some of this tour was related to a work project, it would have been enjoyable even if it were not. As well, I’ve booked many tours with Gregtur and they have all been wonderful! However, this was the first guide who brought me a bottle of water so extra props to Diogo for caring about his client!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! 💙 We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed learning more about Pelé’s incredible legacy and the history of Santos. It’s especially rewarding to know that the tour exceeded your expectations, even beyond the needs of your work project. ⚽ Your continued trust in Gregtur means a great deal to us, and we’re truly honored that you’ve chosen to travel with us on so many occasions. We’ll also make sure Diogo receives your kind words—it’s the little details, like offering a bottle of water, that can make all the difference. 😊 Thank you once again for your loyalty and support. We look forward to welcoming you on many more adventures in Brazil! 🇧🇷✨

Viva Pelé and viva Gregtour!!
Dear Gregtur team, we had a wonderful Pele tour today in Santos and we were extremely satisfied with Maria. She was the perfect host with lots of knowledge and a poliglot and she was not hesitating to fulfil any request we had outside the box. The same goes for all the staff members of Gregtour who were very dedicated and professional from my first inquiry moment and made this experience a one not to be forgotten. Just wanted to let a very positive note. Thank you again for the wonderful memories.

The best and most complete Pelé tour, a very comprehensive experience! You will leave as a Pelé expert!
I was lucky that it was just me, so it was a private tour where I was driven around the town of Santos by Diogo, a local who speaks very good English and has alot of knowledge about Pelé. He took me on the tour of Urbano Caldeira stadium and translated everything for me, and did the same in the Pelé museum where he also introduced me to the directors and they made me feel like a VIP! We also went to the Pelé statue in town, an his gravesite. While we were driving around Santos, he explained about the history of Santos and some facts and information about the town and the things we drove past. All-in-all it was a very eventful day! Definitely worth the money and the journey, with lots of great photos and memories!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredible review! ⚽🙌 We’re thrilled to hear that your private tour with Diogo was such a rich and VIP-level experience! From the stadium and museum to the statue and the stories behind the town, you truly soaked up the full legacy of Pelé and Santos 🇧🇷🏟️🖼️ It’s an honor to help create moments like this. You’re always welcome back for more journeys packed with passion, history, and football magic! ✨📸

The Pele Tour: an unexpected treasure!
Wow! What an informative and pleasant tour. Our guide knew so much about Pele, the City of Santos, and Santos Futebol Club that even our kids, ages 11, 9 and 7 kept interest in the tour all day. We visited several landmarks in the city, ate great food, saw the Pele Museum, Santos Stadium, the waterfront, Beautiful beachfront gardens, Peles tomb and topped off the day with some delicious Brazilian Prato Feitos. Everywhere we went, people told us some more about Pele and we even met Pele’s personal barber. Our guide took some great family shots of us wherever we went.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re so happy to hear that the Pele Tour was such a memorable experience for your family. 😊 It’s wonderful that our guide could share so much knowledge about Pele, Santos, and the city's rich history, keeping even the kids engaged the whole time. We’re glad you enjoyed the food, the museum, and all the special moments during the tour, including the great family photos! We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable tours in the future!

Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sao Paulo.
How much does Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sao Paulo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sao Paulo is not rushed.
Is Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sao Paulo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sao Paulo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sao Paulo and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santos: Pelé, the King of Football, Private Half-Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sao Paulo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sao Paulo?
+
On Outty we rank every Sao Paulo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 5-hour Private Tour Of São Paulo With Its Main Sights – Optional Airport Pickup, 6-Hour Classic Half-Day Private Tour of São Paulo – Optional Airport Pickup, São Paulo’s Full Day City Tour: Main City Sights – (Shared Group). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sao Paulo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sao Paulo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
