Scavenger Hunt Debacle
When I booked this tour I was told, and I wrote it down, to get our packet for the hunt at 491 Old SantaFe Trail at any time. Using Google Maps we walked around for 1 1/2 hrs trying to find that address. We finally ended up at the Visitors Information Center. They said they are a part of the scavenger hunt but they have no packet. They said it should have been on my phone. No one told me about putting anything on my phone. My group was tired and hot from just locating that address, and I was told the incorrect information so I called Viator and tried to cancel and get a refund. The person I spoke to was very kind BUT said they’d have to review what I was asking. I would just like to add that I have used Viator many times, in Europe as well as the US, and have been very pleased with every tour. I’m sorry to say that this one was a big disappointment!! I sincerely believe I should be granted a refund because we never participated in the hunt.
Response from the operator: Unfortunately- all the information as to how and connect with the Scavenger Hunt is provided by Viator. We have reviewed the information that is provided and it correctly states how to access the game. I’m not sure if you lost the email or instructions but we are happy to authorize a refund with Viator since you did not play the game. Simply call our phone number on our Website and someone can help to sort out the issue.

Fun for the whole family
Decided to try this as a way to see the city and keep our seven year old engaged. Worked like a charm. Plenty of opportunities to choose to see sites along the way in depth, or not. Spent just under four hours. Interface is basic but worked fine for us. Lucky find!
Response from the operator: Glad to hear you had a great time on your Quest with the family.

Great scavenger hunt!
This was just so much fun!!! Getting to your around Sante Fe and complete the various puzzles and tasks. There were 3 of us and we were all so pleased. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Glad to hear you had a great time on your Santa Fe Quest. So much to see in this beautiful town.

Great way to learn about a new city.
Learning about the city, which I had never before been to was an interesting experience. Some of the questions were difficult to answer given that one of the venues was rendered inaccessible due to the annual festival in the town square. I would love to do this sort of thing again.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review... glad you had fun in Santa Fe exploring the city on our Quest. Sorry that the town square was blocked. Luckily that would have only kept you from completing one of the Questions. Hope to see you playing in another city soon.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Fe.
How much does Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Fe usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Fe is not rushed.
Is Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Fe, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Fe can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Fe and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santa Fe Scavenger Hunt Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Fe within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santa Fe?
+
Santa Fe runs on culture: Canyon Road gallery walks, Georgia O'Keeffe country and Ghost Ranch tours, pueblo visits, green chile food tours and Bandelier hikes. Cultural access and guide expertise matter more than price here. On Outty we rank every Santa Fe experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Fe Revisited, Santa Fe Ultimate History Walking Tour, The ORIGINAL Wander New Mexico "Sip & Savor" Plaza Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santa Fe?
+
April to June and September to October, with Indian Market in August. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santa Fe?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
