Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial
You will discover the secrets of the monastery, meeting the characters that shaped it across history. During the tour, you will visit the Royal Basilica, the Library that Philip II created, the Cloister, and the Chapter Rooms, filled with art pieces from El Greco, Titian or Velázquez. Then, you will head to the heart of the monastery, where the Royal Pantheon awaits, the burial site of the kings and royalty since the 16th Century. A visit to repeat
We booked a visit to the El Escorial monastery with friends and it was an experience to remember. Isabella greeted us with a smile from the very first moment, and told us the history and curiosities of the monastery with all kinds of details. It was fun, entertaining, and above all, very interesting. I already knew El Escorial on my own, and it is certainly very much worth it to have a guide who tells you everything the way Isabella did. A perfect day with Isabella
We took a private tour of the monastery of El Escorial with Isabella in May 2026. We were so glad that we chose her to give us a private tour, it was one of the highlights of our week in Madrid. Isabella Trebede: A brilliant guide for El Escorial…informative &fun!
Isabella was a fantastic guide for El Escorial! Her grasp of history and art (and English) was excellent. She was funny and informed, energetic and passionate, and made the visit an absolute pleasure. Furthermore, Isabella went that extra mile to ensure that our friend with significant mobility issues was well considered and saw as much as possible (because there are quite a few stairs to negotiate at El Escorial). She also gave us local recommendations for dining. We really enjoyed our tour with Isabella and, despite the wealth of information she provided, did not feel overwhelmed at all. We would wholeheartedly recommend Isabella as a guide for El Escorial!
