Great way to see the highlights of the great city of San Diego

The staff was great checking us in and showing where to go then how to operate the vehicle. The GPS tour was accurate and descriptive. We would highly recommend this tour to see so much of San Diego in the open air.

Response from the operator: Getting started smoothly makes all the difference, and it’s great to hear the staff helped make everything easy right from check-in. The GPS tour really brings San Diego to life—narrating as you go and guiding you through spots like Balboa Park, the Embarcadero, and beyond. Cruising in the open air with full control of your route is such a fun way to see a lot of the city in just one ride. Definitely one of the best ways to experience San Diego's highlights in a short time.

Best way to get an over view of city!

My husband and I rented the three-wheeled electric bike for a whole day rental. We had 5 of our children and families coming in later that afternoon to join us on our trip and wanted an overview of the city before they arrived. We were able to travel liberally in the area and had an awesome time! The gps was excellent and very informative, with turn by turn directions, making navigating the unfamiliar area flawless. The temps were in the 40s and cloudy until midday but because of the shield and the heated seats, we stayed very comfortable. Be sure to stop in at Rosemarie's for the most amazing sliders for lunch! Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic way to see the city!

Fantastic way to see the city. Rented the buggy (seats 3 adults or 2 adults/2 kids) all day and did four of the tours. Foreign language options on the narrations worked a treat for my mum who doesn't speak English. Easy, friendly pick-up. Highly recommended.

    GoCars are the best!

We really enjoyed our full day tour in the 4-person buggy. We learned so much about San Diego and had a blast at the same time.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The tour was awesome! So much fun driving the go carts all over San Diego. I live in SoCal and I’d recommend this to everyone!

San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Diego.

How much does San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option cost?

    +

Prices start at $163 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Diego usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Diego is not rushed.

Is San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Diego, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Diego can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Diego and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does San Diego GoCar: Best Value, Full Day Option start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Diego within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Diego?

    +

San Diego is an outdoor-first city: whale watching from December through April, La Jolla kayak and snorkel runs year round, harbour cruises and the USS Midway, plus Balboa Park museums when the marine layer sits low. We rank water operators on group ratios and gear quality, which is where the cheap La Jolla trips fall down. On Outty we rank every San Diego experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include USS Midway Museum Admission: Valid Any Date, Taste of Little Italy in San Diego, San Diego Whale Watching Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Diego?

    +

March to May and September to November, either side of the June overcast. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Diego?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
