About this experience
Skip the crowded River Walk and see a side of San Antonio most visitors miss. The Mural Ride is not your typical city tour. We’ll hop on e-bikes and ride through San Antonio neighborhoods filled with street art, local history, and some of our favorite hidden gems. Along the way, you’ll see more than 30 murals, many tucked down backstreets, alleys, and corners you wouldn’t find on your own. And no, we don’t ride the same route every day. Murals change. New ones go up. Old ones disappear. Neighborhoods evolve. We adjust the ride so we can show you what’s worth seeing right now. Your guide will share the stories behind the art, introduce you to some of the artists shaping San Antonio, and connect the murals to the neighborhoods and culture around them. We’ll also point out where we actually eat, drink, grab coffee, and hang out, because you're probably going to need plans after the ride. Come ride bikes, see some incredible art, and get to know San Antonio a little differently.

Wow!!!! This was such a...
Wow!!!! This was such a fun experience. Brian is super knowledgeable about the city and many parts of its history. The murals were amazing and knowing a bit about the artist and how they came to be was nice to learn on the ride. The bike was fun and easy to manipulate. Brian is safe while riding and knows lots of fun side treks. I will definitely do this again or anything else he has available in the future. Thanks for a nice few hours!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the amazing review, Tamara! I'm so glad you had a great time exploring San Antonio with us. One of my favorite parts of the tour is sharing the stories behind the murals and the artists who bring our city to life, so it's great to hear those moments stood out. I'm also happy you enjoyed the e-bike and felt safe throughout the ride. That's always one of our top priorities so guests can simply relax and enjoy the experience. Thanks again for spending a few hours with us. We'd love to have you back, whether it's another mural ride or one of our foodie experiences. There's always something new to discover in San Antonio! 🚲🎨

San Antonio is full of street art!
Highly recommend. I would not have found a lot of the street art without a very knowledgeable guide, and there was a lot! A couple of things I could have done without were the pointing out of every restaurant and bar along the way and the constant photos which my guide took both with her cell phone and her smart glasses. She made it sound like she was taking the photos for me, but I never got any of them. Weird. Also, in retrospect, I probably should have said No to the smart glasses shots. Again, the photos weren't for me apparently so it was all a bit weird. The art was cool, though, and biking through downtown was nice.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. I'm really glad you enjoyed exploring San Antonio's street art and appreciated your guide's knowledge. That means a lot to us. I also appreciate you mentioning the restaurant recommendations and the photos. Every group is a little different, and your comments are a great reminder for us to better tailor the experience to each guest's interests. I'm especially sorry you never received your photos. We always intend to share them after the tour, so it sounds like something went wrong on our end. Going forward, we'll also be sending photo galleries through our booking platform to help ensure every guest receives them. If you're still interested in receiving your photos, please send us a message through Tripadvisor or Viator. We'd be happy to get them to you. Thank you again for riding with us and for helping us improve.

Book it! You will love the tour!
Fantastic way to see beautiful parts of San Antonio that most tourists miss. Annette did a wonderful job keep us safe and explaining the wonderful murals along the way. We even got to see a painting in progress! We will book again the next time we are in town. Thanks for a great experience with three teenage boys! Annette was even nice enough to take photos and recommend a great taco spot for lunch! 5 Stars all the way!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! It sounds like y'all were an awesome group to ride with, and I'm so glad Annette helped make your family's time in San Antonio memorable. Seeing a mural in progress is always one of those unexpected moments that reminds us our city's art scene is constantly evolving, and I'm happy y'all got to experience that firsthand. I'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Annette. She genuinely loves sharing the stories behind the murals while making sure everyone feels safe and has fun, even with three teenage boys along for the ride. 😊 I also love that you mentioned the taco recommendation. Around here, good street art and good tacos just go together. Thank you again for choosing to ride with us. We can't wait to welcome y'all back the next time you're in San Antonio. By then, we'll have even more murals, stories, and hidden gems to share! 🚲🎨🌮

Great tour of San Antonio
Had a great tour of San Antonio with Aaron. The tour was well paced with a bathroom/water break at the halfway point. Lots of cool murals and street art and cruising through cool neighborhoods. The bikes were really nice- with a moto button so you didn't have to pedal much at all if you are less athletic. Definitely recommend to do this early in your trip because I found lots of places that I want to revisit while I'm here.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! I'm so glad you had a great experience exploring San Antonio with Aaron. I love that you mentioned the pace of the tour and the comfort of the e-bikes. We want guests of all experience levels to feel confident and enjoy the ride, so hearing that means a lot. One of my favorite parts of your review is that you recommended doing the tour early in a visit. That's exactly what we hope for. Our goal is to help guests discover neighborhoods, murals, restaurants, and local gems they can come back to throughout the rest of their trip. I'll be sure to share your kind words with Aaron. Thank you again for riding with us, and we hope to see you back in San Antonio for another adventure someday! 🚲🎨

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Antonio.
How much does San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Antonio usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Antonio is not rushed.
Is San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 108 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Antonio, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Antonio can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Antonio and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does San Antonio E-Bike Tour: Murals, Street Art and Hidden Gems start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Antonio within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Antonio?
+
San Antonio runs River Walk cruises and dinner tours, Alamo and mission trail history walks, ghost tours through the old quarter, and Hill Country wine and cave trips. Mission tours vary in whether they cover all five UNESCO sites. On Outty we rank every San Antonio experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game San Antonio: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at The Rim, Walking Tour Along the San Antonio Riverwalk And Around Downtown, Small-Group World Heritage San Antonio Missions Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Antonio?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Antonio?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
