Great experience!!! He was very knowledgeable/ he did the drinking ghost tour! We will be back! We are in town for my graduation and to look at homes to buy. This was one of my grad gifts. I love ghost tours!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you were able to enjoy some of the history and stories during the tour. We understand that larger groups can make it more difficult to hear the guide, and we appreciate you mentioning that. Our pub crawl stops can also vary depending on the evening and circumstances at individual establishments. We appreciate you joining us in San Antonio and sharing your experience, as your feedback helps us understand how the tour was received.

Family-friendly fun!
If you go during the summer, make sure to bring plenty of water and be okay standing and walking for 2 hours straight. There aren’t a lot of places to sit during this tour and if you do find a ledge, it’s uncomfortable. Other than that it’s very fun to learn the history of The Alamo and some spooky tales!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed learning about the history of the Alamo alongside the spooky stories. We also appreciate you highlighting the importance of being prepared for San Antonio’s summer heat. Our tours involve walking and standing for an extended period, and we encourage guests to come prepared with water and comfortable footwear. We hope the historical and haunted stories made the journey worthwhile, and we’d love to welcome you back for another Ghost City Tours experience in the future!

We Ghosted the Ghost Tour!
After reviewing other travelers' experiences, I thought we were in for a great evening. Once it started, however, I wondered if we were on the correct tour. We booked the 90 minute walking tour and stood at the Alamo for 30 minutes and Wayne provided one story about the Shadowman. We should have known this would be questionable when he told us he ditched the script he was provided and prepared his own stories. His delivery was of a sad, stand-up comedian and did not convey any sense of spookiness. We then walked 200 yards to the Menger, and stood there for another 30 minutes, while he spoke of Sally White for about 10 minutes, and the alligators in the bathtub for 20. When he moved the group that had dwindled from 30 guests to 10 guests to the next site, we departed the group as well. This was the most disappointing evening ever!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re disappointed to hear that the tour did not match the experience you were hoping for, particularly regarding the pacing, storytelling, and overall atmosphere. We understand that guests come to a ghost tour with different expectations, and we appreciate you sharing where this experience fell short for your group. Since you chose to leave before the tour concluded, we would welcome the opportunity to review the details of your reservation and experience directly. Please contact (855)999-0491 so our team can look into this further.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Antonio.
How much does San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Antonio usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Antonio is not rushed.
Is San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 147 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Antonio, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour?
+
Around 51 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Antonio can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Antonio and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does San Antonio Ghost Tour – Haunted History Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Antonio within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Antonio?
+
San Antonio runs River Walk cruises and dinner tours, Alamo and mission trail history walks, ghost tours through the old quarter, and Hill Country wine and cave trips. Mission tours vary in whether they cover all five UNESCO sites. On Outty we rank every San Antonio experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game San Antonio: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at The Rim, Walking Tour Along the San Antonio Riverwalk And Around Downtown, Small-Group World Heritage San Antonio Missions Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Antonio?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Antonio?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
