First of all, the person who picked us up at our hotel to take us to the meeting point with the rest of the excursionists asked us for an additional 30 dollars for the transfer, even though said transfer was included in the price we had contracted. I refused to pay them because I understood that it was not appropriate to pay again for a service already included. Subsequently, during the visit to El Limón Waterfall, the guide who accompanied us on the horseback ride indicated that he did not receive a salary for that accompaniment and that we had to pay him, so we ended up paying another additional amount for a service that, due to the way the excursion had been sold to us, we understood was part of the activity. But the most serious thing happened during the return. We were traveling on the bus with the rest of the participants when, since our hotel was located in Miches, they made us get off and left us alone on the side of a road, simply indicating to us that another vehicle would come later to pick us up. We were a family traveling with a minor and we found ourselves alone for approximately ten minutes on a road, in a place we did not know, without knowing who was going to pick us up, when they would arrive, or if we were in a safe area. Finally, a vehicle appeared that took us to the hotel, but that does not justify at all the situation or the uncertainty to which they subjected us. I consider that a company that organizes excursions has the responsibility to guarantee the continuity and safety of its clients' transfer. If it is necessary to change vehicles, the least that can be done is for the second transport to be waiting before making a family get out, and even more so when a minor is traveling. You do not leave clients alone on a road waiting for another vehicle to appear. Furthermore, we have conveyed our complaint to Oceans Connection and their response was basically that the service was carried out normally. Precisely for that reason I am publishing this review: if asking for additional amounts for services that we understood were included and leaving a family with a minor waiting alone on a road is considered "normal," I think future clients should know about it before booking. Our experience was very negative and the management seemed unprofessional to us. I hope the company reviews these procedures so that no other family has to find themselves in a similar situation.
