   Bonneville Salt Flats The Bonneville Salt Flats are located in northwestern Utah, United States, west of the Great Salt Lake, covering an area of ​​260 square kilometers. The salt flats were first used for motorsport in 1912, but it wasn’t until the 1930s when Abu Jenkins and Sir Malcolm Campbell competed to set land speed records that they really became popular.
