Best bike tour ever
We arrived in SLC at noon and had a bike tour booked at 3 p.m. Our guide was James and it was a fantastic tour for 3 hours. James chose routes that got us to higher elevations without having to climb hard hills. We went through neighborhoods all the way through downtown and learned so much about SLC and saw more than we could have seen any other way - up close and in person. James was a great guide with lots and lots of info and hidden gems in the City. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Great and insightful tour for first time in SLC
James was a fantastic guide; my daughter and I learned a lot about the city and had a great time.
Response from the operator: It's fantastic when folks show up ready to learn and explore, like you both. Thank you for being curious about our city!

Great bike tour of the...
Great bike tour of the city. I did this the first day of my stay in SLC. On the bike, it gave me an opportunity to see the lay of the land and information from my guide allowed me to note places I’d want to add to my itinerary throughout my stay. Ride was not challenging as most of SLC is flat and very bike friendly. My guide also offered excellent restaurant and local hiking recommendations.
Response from the operator: So glad to hear that! It's always best to do the exploring the first day. Couldn't agree more.

Best way to see the downtown SLC
We had a great tour with James. It was safe, fun and informative. Learned a lot about the city, the settlers, and Mormonism. It was a great way to see the sites and learn about the stories. Highly recommend this tour! James also gave us great suggestions for the local events, restaurants and breweries. What a great guy!

Cruising Salt Lake City
We met Jace at Liberty park and began our ride on cruiser bikes. The city is flat and we had no problems peddling around interesting Salt Lake City. Learned and had fun. Don't hesitate, it was a fun ride.
Response from the operator: All skill levels welcome! Thanks for a great review

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salt Lake City.
How much does Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salt Lake City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salt Lake City is not rushed.
Is Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salt Lake City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salt Lake City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salt Lake City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Salt Lake City Big City Loop Bike Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salt Lake City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salt Lake City?
+
Salt Lake City is a basecamp: Big and Little Cottonwood canyon hikes and ski shuttles, Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake trips, Park City transfers and Temple Square walking tours. Winter transfer reliability is the single biggest quality signal here. On Outty we rank every Salt Lake City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour, Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square & Salt Lake City Bus Tour, Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salt Lake City?
+
December to March for skiing, June to September for canyon hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salt Lake City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
