Saqqara, Dashur, Memphis private tour

Our guide, Mohamed , was excellent! He reached out the day before the tour to confirm the tour and pick up location and time. He confirmed the morning of the tour and he was right on time for the pick up. He was very nice, smart and pleasant! He gave very thorough information. He is an excellent tour guide. He was very friendly. Our lunch spot was delicious. Our driver, Ahmed, was wonderful too.

Response from the operator: Many thanks for your delightful words. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your trip to Egypt with Sun Pyramids and look forward to welcoming you back to Egypt. We are also proud that our Staff met your expectations and contributed to an extraordinary experience

Dahshur, Memphis, Sakkara Private Tour

We began our journey with Sun Pyramid Tours through booking a hotel room at Great Pyramid Inn. Ahmed Atef was our contact throughout the process, helping us book our amazing room (we had a balcony and woke up/went to bed with Giza pyramids right in view). When it came to tours, we were interested in a guide and driver to go see Sakkara. Ahmed assisted in booking the tour for us. The tour was incredible. A driver and guide (Mary) picked us up from hotel and we made the journey to Dahshur (Red/Bent pyramids - the ascent/descent into both pyramids was more strenuous than the Khufu pyramid at Giza. Red pyramid is doable [my 62 year old mother was able to donit] while Bent pyramid is very tough [it is tight, narrow, and will leave you sweating/breathless]). From Dahshur we saw Memphis museum and colossal statue of Ramses the Great. Finally we hit Sakkara and listened to the history of the first pyramid. It is extra to go into this pyramid, so we marveled from the outside. We were able to go into Teti Pyramid and Tomb of Kagemni. After tours we traveled back to Giza and had lunch (open buffet) and stopped at a few shops. We are not big shoppers (would rather spend our money seeing sites!) but did grab a few small papyrus rolls ($20 USD). All in all, this experience was great! Ahmed had incredible response time for any questions I had when planning/booking this trip. Mary was knowledgeable and never rushed us as we took in the sites. (Not all guides are so courteous) This was a truly private tour, just my mother and I for $105 USD/person. Price included access to all sites/museums, lunch, and travel costs. We did Cairo museums, Giza pyramids, Abu Simbel, Alexandria all without guides/private transport, so the price for this tour felt fine as a one off trip cost.

Response from the operator: Many Thanks for your delightful words and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent tour. We are pleased to hear that you found our tour guide, Mary, to be knowledgeable and that Ahmed, our tour operator, was attentive and punctual to your requests.

Amazing experience.

Loved everything about our tour. Didn’t think my kids will have such a good time but they’re still raving about it. And I think we enjoyed our tour as much especially because of our tour guide. Kadria was amazing. She treated us like family and made the whole day so fun for us all. Would definitely recommend going on this tour and do ask for Kadria. The whole tour was very well organized. They took us to few different sites and different experiences.

Sakkara, Memphis und Daschur

I was very pleased to have the German-speaking guide and driver from yesterday's tour today too. The first stop was a pharmacy, the second a fruit seller. Tablets and bananas for diarrhea. It helped and I'm glad I did the tour after all. We also visited things that weren't on the route. The tour was again informative and interesting. Mohamed was simply brilliant. If you want a German-speaking tour guide, it's him.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you very much for choosing Sun Pyramids Tours. It has been a pleasure to serve you during your stay in Egypt. We appreciate your review; it means a lot when a respected guest gives us a vote of confidence. Your satisfaction is our main goal and we promise to stay reliable in the upcoming years. Looking forward to helping you more through your next journeys all around the world.

Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers cost?

+

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur Private Guided tour with Lunch and Transfers start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
