Content good, but tech not quite there

The self guided tour started off well. We were able to navigate to the first couple of locations. However, then we weren't able to stay on track since our GPS wasn't accurate given the narrow streets. We ended up running across one of the way points out of order, then listening to recording as we reached them. Overall, the system worked, and we liked the ability to start and pause when we wanted to. But definitely not as comfortable as a live guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and your experience. We will work to see how we can improve the maps experience for Kotor and hope we can guide you in a different location which is more easy to navigate.

    Needs improvement

-Map guidance too inaccurate -Images and destinations from time to time different -Cracked fortress in the end prefers to walk along hiking trails rather than by entrance, take enough water with you and good fitness level required for ascent -In the city almost exclusively cash required, overpriced prices +Information of the tour +Price +Cats everywhere

    Needs improvement

Definitely in need of improvement especially in terms of the match of image and point to point guidance. Unmatched images from other spots make the whole thing a scavenger hunt. GPS guidance very very inaccurate!!!! Information and translation are okay. To get to the fortress at the end of the tour you should be fit and you can rather spend the entrance fees for other things and use the hiking trails to the fortress, because this is apparently in ruin despite entrance fees.

    Excellent overview at reasonable price

Great overview of old town Kotor and I loved that you don’t have to do it all in one go. Also allows you to take it as fast or as slow as you would like.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We really appreciate it and we are glad that you enjoyed the tour. We hope to guide you again in a different city in the future. Best regards, The Tourific team

    Easy to use and informative.

Self guided tour was a great way to understand some of the special places in Old Town Kotor. We were able to use it at our own pace while we were there. Very reasonable price too, especially when you are visiting multiple places.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We really appreciate it and we are glad that you enjoyed the tour. We hope to guide you again in a different city in the future. Best regards, The Tourific team

Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.

How much does Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor cost?

    +

Prices start at $9 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.

Is Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Saints and Smugglers Self Guided Stroll through Kotor start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kotor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
