Good half-day tour

Good half-day tour of Saint-Émilion and the area, including a vineyard tour. The guide was great and knowledgeable.

Book it, and rest assured you are in good hands

This was our 2nd private wine tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails and for this we booked a full day to St Emilion the day after a half day to Medoc.( this may be under the wrong tour listing, but couldn’t find the full day ) Communication in booking, input in what we wanted from experience to Bordeaux Wine trails’ ideas and suggestions were clear and top notch. As this was a full day and lunch would be part of the itinerary, I was especially impressed by the level of inquiry, detail, and accommodation to my lacto- ovo vegetarian diet. Many suggestions were sent and I felt more than comfortable deferring to Jonathan to help pick a great place for lunch. In fact, every chateau selection and final lunch spot selected were excellent. We enjoyed every aspect of the day, and our guide Alex continued being just as awesome as day 1 on our half day and he just “got us.” He was easy to talk with, laugh with, and continued sharing his knowledge throughout the day. We also appreciated the level of communication and even the openness to feedback. Our feedback was all positive from our experience but very rarely do guides genuinely ask about what you like or don’t like or what could be better. I emphasize genuine because while we have been asked in the past on prior trips to other places, it always felt perfunctory and in fact was met with comments indicating defensiveness or lack of openness which shuts down any sense of sharing feedback openly. That was not Alex or Bordeaux Wine Tours. Our experience with Bordeaux Wine Trails was anything but that, and Alex was genuine, knowledgeable and just a great guy to show us the St Emilion wine region. They even contacted us post tours to ask about the chateaus, a detail we appreciated. We highly recommend booking with them and even more so to consider private tours that really allow the level and attention to detail if you are like us and want to have a more personalized experience. That said, they were wonderful to work with, and we loved Alex. The chateaus selected for our second day and full day tour were amazing and met all our expectations/ interest areas. You don’t know what you don’t know, but rest assured they know and they will create or provide you a tour that will leave you very happy… and of course, full with memories and great wine

Incredible and unique experience for wine lovers!

We loved every bit of our trip. The guide Vianney was so great in answering questions and sharing his vast experience. The vineyards selected are so unique because they are family-run and we particularly enjoyed going to Systey, as it was an intimate setting jsut speaking to the winemaker in a serene Saint Emilion setting. 100% recommend.

Informative and fun

Was a small personal group so got to learn lots about how the wine is grown, produced and the classification system of the wines. We got to taste the wines and also learned the history of Saint-Émilion which was fascinating. The village is really worth another longer visit. Thank you
