Do not recommend
Very poor communication re pick up and no one messaged day before re tour. When contacted tour said return time was 6-730pminstead of 6pm as advertised. Wouldn’t give us guides contact number. Would recommend booking with another company that does small group
Response from the operator: Hello, We have full evidence showing that we chatted with and/or emailed all guests before their departure to confirm all information related to the tour. Throughout our more than 20 years of experience organizing this tour, this is the first time we have encountered a situation where a guest repeatedly tried to negotiate for a free tour in exchange for changing or removing a review. We have never agreed to provide free travel in exchange for a positive review, and we do not accept or encourage this kind of behavior. The reviewer’s own comments also clearly mention: “Tour said return time was 6–7:30 pm instead of 6 pm as advertised.” This is understandable and should not be considered a service failure. Even when traveling by the most modern and commonly used means of transportation in the world — air travel — it is impossible to guarantee an exact arrival time. Likewise, the return time of a road tour can only be an estimated time. The tour return time was approximately 6:00–7:30 PM, as traffic conditions can significantly affect the journey. In particular, traffic congestion during peak hours in Hanoi is a normal and frequent occurrence and is beyond the tour operator’s control. Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and support.

Nice day
Very nice tour. Pick-up/drop off, bus, and all logistics worked well. Minh the guide was engaging and helpful. Perfume Pagoda area was essentially empty when we went so a nice, quiet experience.

Quite a long day with...
Quite a long day with quite a lot of walking on uneven surfaces. A great day out and we'll worth the money. Minh the guide was absolutely brilliant with lots of knowledge about the area.

Great Experience
Great experience. December is the low season for this destination, which made the experience feel very intimate. The boat ride was incredibly serene, accompanied only by the gentle sound of the oars touching the water and birds singing. The pagoda is superb. Absolutely a must-see!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape cost?
+
Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Round-Trip to Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi: Spiritual- Scenic Escape start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
