Trip of a Lifetime

Just wrapped up an incredible 10-day Annapurna Circuit trek with Swissa Trek Company (shoutout to their Yellow Swissa team!), returning on October 29th. This was hands-down the adventure of a lifetime, and I can't recommend them highly enough—especially our guide Mann and porter Dawa, who were absolute legends. From the moment we met, they made my girlfriend and me feel like family, and by the end of those grueling (but magical) 10 days, we'd formed a genuine bond that we'll cherish forever. We tackled some of the trek's highlights, including the stunning Tilicho Lake and the infamous Thorong La Pass. But let me tell you about that pass— we hit it during a brutal storm that stranded thousands and led to the rescue of over 200 trekkers. It was intense, but Mann and Dawa? Total pros. They never once panicked, kept us calm with their polite, reassuring vibes, and went way above and beyond to ensure our safety. Mann's knowledge of the terrain and weather was spot-on, and Dawa carried our gear like it was nothing while and smiling while doing so. If you're dreaming of the Annapurna Circuit, book with Swissa Trek. Mann and Dawa aren't just guides and porters—they're the heart of the experience. 10/10, would trek again in a heartbeat! 🌟🏔️

Around Annapurna adventure

We had an amazing trek with Mann as our leader. We were caught in the snow storm while up in the mountains climbing to Thorong La pass. Conditions were impossible but there was no way back because of the threat of avalanches. Our guide Mann pulled up through this, we reached the top of the mountain and from there carefully down to the other side. Dawa, our porter did well carrying a pack for us so our packs were much lighter and was happy to assist whenever needed. Yellow Swissa company gave us an excellent service since the moment we landed in Nepal, from picking us up at the airport and taking care of all needs while in Katmandu and up at the mountains. We are happy to recommend this company with any trek in Nepal, for a safe and wonderful adventure.

Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $980 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek take?

+

Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 288-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Round Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

+

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
