You will start the tour meeting your friendly, professional guide at our meeting point in the very center of the city in Piazza Venezia. This square has been the center of the city for over 2000 years and the architects who shaped the view we see today range from Julius Caesar to Napoleon and even Michelangelo, whose artist’s studio was in this very square! Here you will learn about all the different influences that shaped Rome over its long history and made it the city that it is today. You will also get a view of the large monument Altare della Patria, more commonly known as the Vittoriano as it is a monument dedicated to Italy's first King.

Area Sacra di Largo Argentina
From Piazza Venezia, a short walk will take you to Largo di Torre Argentina where ancient temples stand towering over the actual spot where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Here you’ll learn more about Julius Caesar’s incredible life and gruesome death, how he went from an unknown soldier to ruling an empire, and why it was all so violently taken from him.

A tour you don't want to miss!
This was the best tour we had in Rome. Jamie was so knowledgable. He told us historical information well beyond the normal guide. His passion was infectious. When we are in Rome again we will ask for him specifically and take the same tour again. We highly recommend you take this tour. It's better than the large group tours where we are rushed through everything to complete the tour.

Very nice experience. Though we were running late because our map kept leading us to the wrong place, Daniel waited for us, and we weren’t disappointed. Daniel took us to many historical sites and was patient in letting us take time to take pictures. Even stopping to treat us both to some delicious ice cream. Not great,
Not great, couldn't understand the tour guide very well with his American accent. also one of us was russian and one Estonian and understood nothing at all, he seemed like he couldn't be bothered and seemed quite anti Rome. The tour we paid for said includes coffee or Ice cream, but tour guide said he would only pay for I've cream.

No grace or flexibility from the tour operator
On the day of the tour we had "Severe Thunderstorm" warnings and rain. On top of that, my partner woke up feeling under the weather. We asked if we could postpone the tour one day. Not cancel, not refund, just postpone. There were no tickets needed to any of the attractions...it was simply a walking tour. Even Viator reached out to the tour company for us. They told us (and Viator) no. Was hoping for a little grace and sympathy, but you won't get it from these guys. Plan accordingly.
