Great shop for beginners. For experienced climbers, it works but there are some watch outs.
There are a ton of climbing shops in the area so fear not, you could show up and hire a guide or rent gear. In our case, with only two days of climbing, we wanted to book in advance and the Real rocks team were helpful and communicative before we even arrived in Thailand. They were more expensive than many of the other options I researched, but between the communication and approach, I felt they would be safer (eg regularly replaced gear and solid approach to belaying) so I went with them. Sure enough, our guide was fantastic. If you want a strong communicator, accommodating guide and super safe belayer, I’d highly recommend Pon. We climbed with him for two days and he was awesome. We brought our own shoes and harness but he provided the helmets, quickdraws and rope, all which were in good condition. My only negative for this experience was it was like climbing as a first time activity (which may be fine if you are not a regular rock climber and trying this for the first time). We really just wanted someone to show us the best routes, setup top ropes on things we couldn’t lead on our own, and provide a safe belay. On day 1, we spent a bunch of time to get to the shop and then wait around for the beginners to try on gear and get explanations despite us booking private. We would have preferred to fill out a waiver online and just meet in Railay to get climbing asap rather than losing more than an hour that morning. We also had to accommodate a one hour lunch break which was just their schedule breaking out the climbing day. It eats up time and takes away from climbing where we would have preferred to lunch between climbs. We managed to coordinate directly with Pon on the second day and meet him at Railay beach and start a bit earlier to avoid that process. We also asked him that we take a quick lunch break (we brought our lunch and ate between climbs) and just end the day early, which he was fine with. We also didn’t use the transport they provided as it also was out of the way / added extra time to go to and from the shop rather than just pay for a long tail boat to ao Nang beach (where we stayed).

Why this scores 40
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi cost?
+
Prices start at $3559 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi take?
+
Plan for about 21 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 21-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 21-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rock Climbing Courses at Railay Beach Krabi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
