A memorable day
It was a surprise day for my son's birthday. We started with 10 km of rafting and after lunch we went quad biking. A memorable day, a son had stars in his eyes. The safety is really top-notch, we are really protected. The equipment is top-notch, recent and well-maintained. We were very well supervised. Nothing but people who are very attentive. Everyone is super nice, thanks for the gift for my son :-) We loved this day but what stands out even more are the people and the safety equipment. I can only recommend them :-)

Exciting Tour
A fun and exciting activity — the ATV had some obstacles at the beginning, but with Brother No. 7’s guidance, I finally got the hang of it.

Nice experience
Although the coach knows that we have played, but still patiently explain every step, when starting feel very looking forward, really good and fun, the place to go is also very good and correct, stimulating and fun, worth going again, very good experience, fun and forget about

An exciting day of adventure!
We had a great day with the 8 Adventure Team. The quad bikes were something new to me and the guides were fantastic at helping me get to grips with it. We loved driving through the jungle and river and then up into the mountains. It was wonderful to see elephants pass us as they walked in between the camps in their sanctuaries and the views from the top breathtaking. The lunch provided is a great meal and quite substantial. The kayaking was truly the highlight of our day. The guides again were phenomenal, the experience was exhilarating and we were in good safe hands at every point during the day. At the end there is a wonderful hot shower to wash off the day and get changed into clean clothes before traveling back to the hotel. Thanks for an amazing experience. Top Tip - pay the extra on the day for the photos, they are worth every penny!

Fun, but lots of room for improvement
All around fun experience, there were just some logistical and planning things that would have made it better….We had to wait a really long time for two people during pick up and then also had to stop for them to go to an ATM, so we ended up late to the introduction at the camp and therefore felt very rushed getting to our first activity. We rafted first, which was a lot of fun but then we had nearly two hours of down time to sit around after lunch while we waited for others to complete their activities so we could do our afternoon activity of ATVing. They said they would divide everyone by experience but that didn't seem to happen…..we ended up spending most of our ride waiting for the other people in our group. Once, even on steep incline which was extremely uncomfortable as well as difficult and another time for a solid 5 minutes. If people aren't comfortable enough to keep up with the lead, then they really shouldn't be on trails like that. We did end with sunset at the Elephant Nature Park which was cool but again, could have been a lot better if the ride wasn't so disorganized and disjointed. They do also have people taking pictures and said that the photographer didn't follow us off the property for ATVing, but later saw pictures posted on their social media where people clearly were out on trails and at the Nature Park. Seemed a bit odd….Overall, we'd probably give it another shot but would communicate upfront about avoiding these issues.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
River Float and ATV Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does River Float and ATV Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $5400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does River Float and ATV Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is River Float and ATV Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule River Float and ATV Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is River Float and ATV Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book River Float and ATV Adventure?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does River Float and ATV Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
