Amazing experience!
Amazing morning with Lek and Tik. Lek is an experienced biker and explained us what were the farmers doing in the fields. It was also very interesting to know about Karen tribe. The çandsvape is also beautiful. Really recomended experience if you want to visit a part of Thailand that is not touristic.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining our cycling tour. We’re really happy to hear you had a great time, and we truly hope to have the chance to ride together with you again in the future.

The Highlight of Our Trip
My wife and I had an amazing experience with Trailhead. We really wanted to do a bike ride while we are in Chiang Mai but we aren't experienced mountain bikers. The staff at Trailhead was so accommodating -- they were able to find us a suitable ride on short notice. Our guides, Lek and Kom, were fantastic from start to finish. They made sure we were comfortable with the gear, took amazing photos and videos, and kept us well-hydrated and fed throughout the ride. Lek's insights on the rural communities and knowledge of the area truly enriched the experience. Riding through the Chiang Mai countryside, farmland, and villages was an unforgettable experience and a great way to get back in nature after spending so much time in cities.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you and your wife had an amazing experience with us at Trailhead. It's wonderful that Lek and Kom were able to ensure you felt comfortable and supported throughout the ride. We always strive to create memorable and enriching experiences, and it’s great to know that the insights on the local communities and the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside made the trip even more special. We hope to welcome you both back for another adventure soon!

Must do when visiting Chiang Mai
Although it was raining, we had a really fun tour with Lek and Tik. Everything was perfectly arranged, from the transfer to the bikes, the F&B, the pictures/video’s and the encouragement to climb the steep hills (for Dutch people not very easy). They also shared some nice facts about the surroundings. All in all a must do when visiting Chiang Mai. No better way than to get to know the beautiful area of this part of Thailand.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed and were impressed by your biking experience with us. We sincerely hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in the future.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai cost?
+
Prices start at $2499 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 57 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rural Explorer Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
