    What you'll see and do

    1. Old Town of Rhodes

Rhodes Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, but it’s not your classic heritage spot and it’s certainly unlike the main town of any other Greek island. The streets are so well-preserved that you half expect a knight on horseback to ride past at any time. And that’s before you turn into the Ottoman or Jewish districts, which have a very different feel to them. And yet Rhodes town also retains a distinctive Greek island vibe. There are many shops and restaurants within the walls, particularly around central Hippokratous Square, but there are also quaint and quiet alleyways, adding to the charm of a town that is almost car-free.

    2. Lindos

No tour in Rhodes is complete without visiting Lindos. Not just because of the 3rd century BC acropolis found there, or even because of the sugar-cubed houses and labyrinth of alleyways of the town loved by everyone who passes through. It’s because you follow exactly the same path and see almost the same views as the ancients who built the acropolis and the knights that used it as a place of worship and defence. That incredible vista of the Mediterranean Sea and St Paul’s Bay below … it’s exactly the same view that would have inspired them back in the day. The archaeological site; cosy streets with many shops, cafes, restaurants, and of course breath-taking views that you can pick out from the temple will reward you for your visit

    3. Savvas Ceramics

The term ‘ceramic’ comes from the Greek word meaning ‘pottery’. Do you know that pottery has magic in it? Why? Because it comes from nature as a meeting of 3 elements: earth, water & fire. Earth and water are the raw materials, fire gives the object color and durability while human hearts and hands give them shape. Clay is the symbol of creativity, many myths describe it to be the material out of which the first men, plants, and animals come to be. The piece of clay will turn into a piece of art right in front of your eyes. Then the owner of this cosy workshop will invite you to taste their oil, honey, and some other products of their family.

Enjoy some free time in the Medieval City of Rhodes to stroll along cobblestone streets, admire the well-preserved medieval architecture, browse local shops, or enjoy a leisurely coffee surrounded by history.

    Beautiful Rhodes Without the Stress

We wanted to experience Rhodes during our cruise stop without trying to organize everything ourselves. The day turned out to be very comfortable. We visited the Old Town, had time to wander together, and then continued to Lindos. Our guide shared interesting details about the places we visited but gave us space when we wanted to explore privately. The transportation was comfortable and the driver was professional. We also liked knowing that the schedule was designed around getting us back to the ship on time. For a short port visit, it felt like a good use of our day.

A Good Mix of Touring and Free Time

Our group of friends usually gets tired of tours where every minute is planned, so we liked the balance here. We had someone knowledgeable showing us around, but there was still plenty of free time to explore on our own. The Old Town had loads to see and Lindos was another highlight, especially for the views. The driver was professional and the air conditioning in the vehicle was very welcome. Communication before and during the trip was also reassuring. We never had to worry about how we were getting back to the ship, which made it much easier to simply enjoy the day.

A Simple and Reliable Day Trip

I booked this because I wanted to cover more ground than I could realistically manage alone during a cruise stop. The pickup was smooth and everything was explained clearly. I especially liked the combination of guided sightseeing and free time. The Old Town was fascinating to walk around, while Lindos was a nice change of scenery. The local guide was approachable and happy to answer questions without making the experience feel too formal. The driver was also professional, and the vehicle was comfortable. Overall, it was a straightforward way to experience several important parts of Rhodes in one day.

    Rhodes at Our Own Pace

This was a great option for us as a couple because we wanted to see the main highlights but still have some time to wander around independently. The Old Town was probably our favorite part, with its narrow streets and historic buildings, while Lindos gave us a completely different atmosphere. The guide was knowledgeable without talking nonstop, which we appreciated. Transportation was clean and comfortable, and pickup and drop-off were handled smoothly. We never felt stressed about getting back to the ship, and that made the whole day much more relaxing.

    A Comfortable Day for Everyone

We were traveling as a family with different ages, so finding something that everyone could enjoy was important. This worked surprisingly well. The transportation was comfortable, the driver was careful, and the guide was friendly with everyone in our group. We enjoyed walking through the Old Town and then seeing Lindos, which gave us two very different sides of Rhodes. Having free time was a big plus because we could stop for photos, look around the shops, and take a short break when needed. The organization was good and we made it back to the ship comfortably on schedule.

Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.

How much does Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors cost?

    +

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.

Is Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors?

    +

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rhodes Deluxe Tour Designed for Cruise Passengers & Air Visitors start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rhodes?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rhodes?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rhodes?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
