Snorkeling, swimming and relaxing
The kids wanted to go out and snorkel and swim in Bar, Montenegro. I decided that the cruise line excursion weren’t what we wanted and I decided to venture outside their list of options. Upon finding the boat for rent and making the reservation I immediately recieved a text from the boat company. They requested the information on my time of docking and leaving for our cruise. I was glad they asked this in advance. This showed me they didn’t want to ruin our day by arriving late for the ship. Anyhow, I had a nice chat with the company and they provided me photos of the boat and the approximate location of their berth. I was advised that Stevan would be our guide/skipper and we modified our time to be a little earlier which was fine by us. At Bar when disembarking from the cruise ship you must get on a bus and travel about a mile or so. It’s in a very industrial area of the port and I wouldn’t suggest walking it. Anyhow we left the ship around 8:20 am and arrived at the drop off area for Princess around 8:45 am. From the drop off area to the berth was maybe a 1/4 of a mile. We met Stevan - who greeted us and we jumped on board. There was only 3 of us which was a perfect amount for this boat. As we took off out of the marina it was very hot, but with a nice gentle breeze. The boat has a Bimini top that helps with the shade, but do the direction of travel we were in the sun on occasion. I’ve learned over my 50 plus years of being on boats it’s easier to remove clothing than not have enough. I’d suggest having comfy swim clothes and I wore a long sleeve boating EV - shirt and my boating hat. Stevan didn’t talk a lot but I completely understand as we were doing around 6 knots and the engine was right below us. As we got to our first swimming location, Stevan positioned the boat facing towards the sea (this gave us some relief from the sun). He provided us two pairs of snorkels, dropped the ladder and before I could say thank you - Stevan was in. Let’s GO…!! Kids got situated and I jumped in also. As I jumped in the water, it was unbelievably warm, crystal clear and full of sea life. I believe we stayed here for an hour as all of us were doing our things. I did laugh though as Stevan stood up on a (below the water surface) rock. As other transport boats went around I could see the bewildered looks of people as Stevon was standing in an area that looked to be a + hundred yards off the shore. Anyhow the kids really enjoyed this place and even swam all the way to the shore. They didn’t realize the shore line was rocky as I could tell by the way they were walking. Soon after the kids and I returned to the inside of the boat and Stefan offered us some drinks. At this point my son asked if we could hit one more spot prior to our time expiring. Stefan agreed and as we headed back Stefan again found a nice cove for all of us to swim. We swam for a while and I could tell we were getting close to the time needed to return to port. Stefan gave us the universal sign of its time to go and we cleaned up and began to head back to port. As we arrived in port we took advantage of the time to change out and get some of our street clothes back on. Stefan secured the bow and stern of the boat and thanked us for our time. We shook hands and we exited the bow of the boat and began to return to Princess Cruise pickup area. As we walked along the cement pier - we observed the coolest guy in Bar (Stefan) cruising on his scooter heading out. Anyhow, well worth the money, it’s a no frills trip but that’s what was expected. I would recommend this to family and friends. We did bring a backpack, with sun hats, suntan lotion, a towel and just a simple change of clothes. FYI, the pickup area has a great photo opportunity about 50 yds away. There is a huge concrete sign that says I ❤️Bar. Anyhow good stuff anytime on a boat trip is a great trip … IMO

Incredible private boat day
We had a fantastic experience! The boat operator maintained excellent communication in the days leading up to our trip—everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. We found the boat without any trouble. Our captain was wonderful. While he didn’t speak much English, his sweet 10-year-old granddaughter joined us and translated beautifully. She was such a delight! The captain even brought soda water and coffee for us to enjoy on board. They provided goggles for swimming, and we had a great time exploring the water and spotting fish. We spent about four relaxing hours on the water, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend this!

We had an absolutely fantastic day on a private boat tour with my three friends! The experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we set sail, everything was seamless – the boat was comfortable, the scenery breathtaking, and the atmosphere relaxing. Our skipper was not only professional but also very friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the trip. We enjoyed swimming in crystal-clear waters, exploring hidden coves, and soaking up the sun on deck. It was a beautiful way to escape the crowds and enjoy a peaceful, fun-filled day with friends.
