Private airport transfer
We used Island Routes private luxury transportation from Sandals South Coast to Montego Bay airport. Earrol was our driver and we had a great time. He was a very professional driver and we had great conversation with him during the 90 minute drive. I would definitely use this service again and request him as our driver
Response from the operator: Hello Jennifer, Thank you for choosing Island Routes for your transportation! Delighted to hear you had a great time with Errol as your professional driver. We appreciate your positive feedback and look forward to serving you again. Best, IR Experience

Mixed experience from 2 trips
3/5 is a little high for our experience of two catamaran trips with Island Tours from Sandals South Beach. “Average” puts our experience too high compared to other cat trips elsewhere, but “poor” is too harsh, considering how much we loved one of the trips. 2.5 would work. The good: At trip to Floyd’s Pelican Bar - not too long a ride and the crew were ok - with a couple of exceptions - a really miserable bartender who seemed fairly contemptuous of guests wanting a drink, and a friendly but not very proficient on-board photographer (from whom we bought precisely zero shots after the trips - ours / passers-by on our phones were better quality). What made the trip good was the Pelican Bar itself - unique place in our travelling experience that easily lived up to our pre-trip expectations. The not so good: Reggae Sunset trip - The route wasn’t particularly interesting, a mid-trip turnaround in a supposedly historic cove sounded like an advert for other Sandals tours and properties - of course Sandals needs to promote itself, just don’t badge it as anything else. - the same bartender and photographer as in the previous trip - no less miserable or better at the job, respectively - a reggae- branded trip with less than 50% reggae music played on the boat - instead mainly US party pop & country - nothing wrong with that, it’s just a different trip.

Disappointing - Not a Sail
Quite disappointing for the money. Crew was friendly - that was a plus! No effort by captain to put up sails even though conditions could have allowed. Captain more interested in honking & waving to people on shore than providing us with an actual tour & sailing experience. Food also disappointing. Thankfully, other passengers made the best of it with us, but a lot of sad faces.
Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for your review. We're very sorry to hear about your experience, we would be happy to get further details from you in order to improve. Can you please contact us at customersupport@islandroutes.com to assist us with this process. This tour typically gets very good reviews so we will be very interested to get further details from you. We hope to welcome you back to the Caribbean however to serve you better. Best, IR Guest Experiences

One and done!
The catamaran ride to and from Pelican Bay was beautiful. The crew was professional and were excellent hosts. Music, dancing and drinks flowing continuously. Pelican Bay is a rustic grassy hut in the middle of the water accessible only by boat. It is filled with various memorabilia of past visitors. Lots of flags, patches, stickers and license plates + tons of names and dates carved on its wooden planks ( feel free to add to it). Once you arrive they take a food (@ $25 per plate of fish, shrimp, lobster or chicken-all plentiful and delicious) and drink order ($6-$7 or $8). They you can swim, relax in or out of the sun. Spend a few hours then back to the catamaran. All in all it was an interesting day. Enjoy!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Negril.
How much does Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Negril usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Negril is not rushed.
Is Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Negril, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Negril can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Negril and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Reggae Sunset Cruise From South Coast start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Negril within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Negril?
+
On Outty we rank every Negril experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Transportation and Tour from Montego Bay to Blue Hole/Secret Falls, Negril Glass Bottom Boat Tour Snorkeling and Booby Cay, ATV, Bamboo Rafting and Negril Ricks Cafe from Montego Bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Negril?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Negril?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
