What you'll see and do
Departing from the Vilano Beach Fishing Pier at 260 Vilano Road, Pellicano will cruise south along the Intra-coastal Waterway, to the St Augustine Inlet and Salt Run, then toward downtown St Augustine and all her famous landmarks. From the comfort of your padded, forward facing seat, you'll see and hear about some of the contributions of Henry Flagler, the Bridge of Lions, the Castillo de San Marcos, the Fountain of Youth and the Giant Cross. We cruise only upon the Intra-Coastal waterway, where the water is always relatively calm, and never go out onto the open ocean. While narrated by the crew, the atmosphere is relaxed and conversational, with great music, complimentary water and plenty of time for Q & A.

I do not recommend.
Canceled one hour before the trip. We scrambled to find something else to do. Inconvenient and not very personal.
Response from the operator: We completely understand the frustration of having your plans disrupted, especially when a cancellation happens so close to the scheduled departure. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this caused. Unfortunately, mechanical issues are an unavoidable part of operating a vessel and, despite our best efforts, they can happen from time to time. This was absolutely not a situation where we intended to cancel at the last minute. Our crew and mechanics were working tirelessly to get the boat back in working order and were doing everything possible to avoid canceling the tour. Unfortunately, we simply could not complete the necessary repairs safely and in time for the scheduled departure. We know that doesn't make the cancellation any less frustrating, but we hope it provides some context. The safety of our guests and crew must always come first, and we would never put a boat on the water that wasn't operating properly. We truly regret that we were unable to provide the experience you had planned and hope you'll consider giving Red Boat Tours another opportunity in the future.

GREAT
I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Captain Dave was entertaining and had lots of bad jokes that made it fun. He was very informative regarding the history of St Augustine and even found a few dolphins along the way. Vickie was his teammate and she helped me get some great pictures since I was a solo traveler. She impressed me with her boating skill helping us sail off gracefully and tie the boat up when it was over. I will probably sail with them again.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and review! We're thrilled to hear you had a great experience with us. It was our pleasure to have you aboard, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Best crew ever they treated me and my daughter like family
It was a morning cruise to find dolphins. We were given wonderful memories. They are very knowledgeable about the history of St. AUGUSTINE and I have visited this city several times since I live in Central Florida it is only 2 hour drive. This is the first Day time dolphin cruise I've taken in this area and I learned a lot of interesting information about this city We enjoyed the friendship of the Captain and his first mate. They also made sure to show us dolphins. I would recommend this cruise to anyone visiting St Augustine or even for residents of Florida. We loved it. It was 95° that day too hot to walk around the city but perfect breeze out on the water.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and review, Lynne! It's always a little cooler on the water! We're thrilled to hear you had a great experience with us. It was our pleasure to have you aboard, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Great Overall Experience
Great overall experience. Shaded boat in the Florida sun, Captain James and the crew were great, & we got to see dolphins and other wildlife aside from learning a little history.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St Augustine.
How much does Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St Augustine usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St Augustine is not rushed.
Is Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 374 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St Augustine, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour?
+
Around 131 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St Augustine can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St Augustine and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Red Boat Tours - Dolphin Odyssey and Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St Augustine within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in St Augustine?
+
St Augustine is walkable history: Castillo de San Marcos, Spanish quarter walking tours, trolley loops, lighthouse climbs and some of the best-attended ghost tours in the country. Guide storytelling quality is the main variable. On Outty we rank every St Augustine experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Medieval Torture Museum with Ghost Hunting and Tiny Art Gallery, St. Augustine's Wine, Cocktail and Food Experience, Dolphin and Wildlife Adventure of St. Augustine. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit St Augustine?
+
February to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in St Augustine?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
