Ana was a great guide for San Miguel de Allende

My brother, his wife and I took the walking tour of San Miguel de Allende on Feb. 2, 2026. Our guide was Ana. We all thought she was great. Her English was good. She knew her history. Since she was born in San Miguel, she gave us a personal perspective. She made the history come alive.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m delighted to hear you had such a great experience with Ana — she’ll be very happy to know you enjoyed her perspective and storytelling. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you again! ✨

    Amazing tour

Marimar is truly amazing, super friendly, gives a lot of information in an interesting and passionate way. I had a great time learning about San Miguel and visiting lovely places I wouldn't have found by myself. If you want to experience San Miguel, don't think twice and book a tour with her. It's 100% worth it! Gracias Marimar!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words. It truly means a lot to me — I’m so happy you enjoyed discovering San Miguel and its special places. Thank you for your trust, and I hope to welcome you again soon! ✨

Merged with a different guide. Beware if booking for this tour guide

We were shuffled off this tour and provided with one by another guide with a different company. We almost missed it due to late notification via text message. The tour we did was good and covered the main points this one would have. The recommendations by that guide ended up sending us on a goose chase. This tour included water while the one we were on did not. Im sure the actual tours by this guide are wonderful, but we didnt have that experience to rate it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and the late notification — we understand how frustrating that must have been. In situations where unexpected changes arise, we do our best to ensure guests are still able to enjoy a complete experience, though we regret this did not meet your expectations. Your comments are very valuable to us, and we will continue working to improve communication and coordination. We truly hope to have the opportunity to provide you with the full experience in the future. ✨

How much does Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN) cost?

    +

Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Miguel de Allende usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN) take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Miguel de Allende is not rushed.

Is Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Miguel de Allende, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Recorrido Histórico a Pie: Descubre y Explora San Miguel (ES/EN)?

    +

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Miguel de Allende can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Miguel de Allende and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in San Miguel de Allende?

    +

On Outty we rank every San Miguel de Allende experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tacos and Tequila Walking Tour with Taste of Miguel, Half Day Excursion - Horseback Riding Adventure in SMA, Historical and Cultural Walking Tour of San Miguel de Allende. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Miguel de Allende?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Miguel de Allende?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
