Professional, Punctual and Unique Taylor Made routes....the Company to travel if you go to Cusco and Southeastern Perù
Travelling with Ayni Perù means being sure that your trip and holidays become an experience and good memories for the rest of your life. Since the moment you get in touch with Amanda you feel you're in good and expert hands, precise and quick responses and always atentive to every request; than you get to Cusco and you meet up with Domingo, a smiley and cheerfull man who arranges all the logistics and takes care of last minute changes. During the trip Mario and Huber make sure you're doing great and you're enjoying every corner of the marvellous landscape you bump into. Trekking with Ayni is the best and funny part though!! Arrieros are kind and local people who make sure every morning you wake up with a cup of hot tea and the cousine of Julio Cesar is even better than whatever you can try and eat in Cusco city center itself. Man, this guy is a wonderfull chef and can bake a cake even in campsite-kitchen conditions!!! We travelled with a group of 7 italians for two weeks, visited Cusco, Sacred Valley, the beautiful ruins of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras and Moray; climbed up to breathtaking Machu Picchu Mountains from where the Vilcanota river winds its way through craggy and lush peaks, trekked for 6 days the challenging route of Vinicunca-Ausangate which was particularly and wonderfully taylor made for us and ended up our journey at Titicaca Lake and the city of Puno. Not as single details have been missed and everything worked excellently and smoothly. If you travel to Cusco area and the Southeast of Perù this is the company to travel with Looking forward to meeting you next year guys Saludos Marco

Amazing Altitude Sickness At The Rainbow Mountain
My fiance and I used Ayni Peru Expeditions in early November for a private guided trek to the Rainbow Mountain and throughout the surrounding area. Our guide Urbano was absolutely great in communicating with us about the trip, keeping us focused on our health and safety throughout, and guiding us through the beautiful, rugged landscape on our way. We chose the 3 night / 4 day trek but sadly, though we had accclimated in Cusco for 4 days beforehand, we got altitude sickness on our first day and made the decision to return to Cusco the following day as we were unable to keep our oxygen levels up even with the use of the emergency tank. A note on this: Ayni takes a large tank that can be used many times before running out as opposed to the smaller, single/double-use tanks some companies use. We were very thankful for this! Urbano and his team were very helpful in getting us back down the mountain to the bus they arranged earlier that morning to come back early for us. Though we did not finish our trek, the sleeping/camp accommodations were great (and in the most picturesque area below the Rainbow Mountain) and the food was absolutely delicious (what we could eat of it as the sickness had taken much of our appetite). Also, our trek was a great success as I was lucky to be proposed to atop the Rainbow Mountain summit at the end of day 1! All in all we loved our trek, we loved working with Urbano and Ayni and can't wait to return and plan another trek with them!

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco cost?
+
Prices start at $484 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco take?
+
Plan for about 36 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 36-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 36-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip from Cusco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
