The most beautiful museum in its architecture and a cosmopolitan atmosphere reigns there, primitive arts are mainly represented there, currently 2 temporary collections, the spirit of time and kwame akoto both exhibitions are to be seen without delay

Very interesting exhibit. But elevator out of order because it's July 14th!!! What's the connection? And how do elderly people or those in wheelchairs get to the 3rd floor?? No light in the restrooms... Maybe also because it's July 14th?! It is simply scandalous.

A visit where the staff was disrespectful
On June 16th at around 2:00 PM, I visited the museum and found the exhibitions to be very rich and interesting. However, I want to share my dissatisfaction regarding some negative experiences during my visit. First of all, I noticed that the audiovisual presentation was not offered upon my arrival, while I saw other visitors enjoying it. Exhausted, I hesitated to go downstairs to look for it. This represented a missed opportunity for me. Additionally, I was shocked by the behavior of a museum employee. When I stopped for a few seconds to listen to an explanation she was giving to a group of students, she stopped the explanation and asked me to leave. As she and the students were blocking the passage; when I expressed my wish to be able to pass to continue my visit, she blamed me for my bag being in her way. Such an attitude is disconcerting and is not what one expects from staff who are supposed to be respectful of visitors. My experience was even more disappointing when purchasing a bag at the temporary exhibition. The saleswoman did not even respond to my hello, nor to my thank you goodbye as I was leaving. This lack of courtesy is regrettable and gives a poor image of the welcome at the museum. I hope that measures will be taken to improve the visitor experience, as despite the interest of the exhibitions, these incidents left a negative impression of my visit. Camille Mimas

Shocking and disturbing.
What can be said about this museum? As a young student, I did not expect to leave this museum with such a fog in my head. This museum is disturbing on several points, whether due to its location or what it offers to its visitors. I was particularly shocked by the way certain works from countries that have experienced colonization are presented. Behind these objects are stories of domination, dispossession, and sometimes looting that seem insufficiently highlighted given the magnitude of the subject. We are talking about more than 3,500 works on display here. Some represent rare cultures, ancestral traditions, and sometimes objects of great spiritual or sacred value for the peoples from which they originate. Throughout the journey, the succession of display windows gave me the feeling of facing a collection of trophies rather than a true work of memory. I am aware that attitudes were different at the time when many of these objects arrived in Europe. But today, as we speak of respect for cultures, historical memory, and recognition of past injustices, I find it difficult to ignore the question of their presence in Western museums. In my view, it is legitimate to ask whether some of these works should be returned to the peoples and countries to which they belong. I do not claim to have all the answers, but this visit left me with a deep discomfort and more questions than certainties. Beautiful visit to the museum
For a first outing with my son in Paris, my wife had the fabulous idea of doing an activity suitable for the youngest with the story visit of Little Bear. He was able to walk around the museum on all fours while we admired the various objects and other artworks on display in the aisles of this building. The staff is friendly and helpful, clean and well appointed.
