Money grabbers
Done quads in many countries all over the world and this has to be the worst ever … It was supposed to be a 3 hour tour but was mostly sitting around waiting.. they then basically forced us to take extra insurance (I’ve never been asked this as it’s always included in the price ) they also pressured us to buy the photos which we didn’t but also was not allowed to take our own pictures!! Once back they gave us one bottle of beer and water between 14 of us and a few crisps and olives We then had to wait near a hour for a lift back to our hotel ! I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this company I’m sure there’s better ones in Tenerife

The worst experience ever
The worst quad tour I’ve ever done. Everything went wrong from the start: the driver who picked us up only spoke Italian — not a word of English or Spanish. We were taken to a small, dirty office, and the bathroom was disgusting. The helmets they gave us smelled like cigarettes and felt super cheap. But that wasn’t the worst part. The quads themselves were in terrible condition: old, dirty, some even had holes in them, and things like the speedometer didn’t work at all. Once we started the tour, one of the tourists took out their phone to film, and the guide (who seemed to be the owner) ran over, started yelling and swearing at them, and even grabbed their phone. Later, when someone else tried to record, he completely lost it — shouting and insulting a woman in front of everyone. My husband and I asked him to treat the guests with respect, but he shouted at us too, told us to shut up, and insulted us. He never apologized — another staff member came over and tried to apologize for him. The route itself was disappointing as well: we were driving almost entirely on regular roads, with just a short off-road loop at the beginning. And when we got to Teide National Park, the guide was telling us things about the volcanoes that just weren’t true. In the end, it was a horrible experience: we paid to be shouted at, insulted, and driven around on unsafe, poorly maintained quads. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone.

Great day out with great views and pictures
Went on the tour this morning and it was great. Driver came to the hotel picked us up at the reception and was a short drive to the place Staff were friendly and helpful thru the safely Brief and controls of the quad. The journey up was on the quads was great don't know why some reviews saying they were gong slow I was nearly full throttle at some points which was great way to cool down. Stopped for photos, and the photographer was funny and got some incredible pictures. Only negative I can think of is that my bum was sore after a while on the seats

Quad biking above the clouds
Instructors and photographer were brilliant, quads were fun and views were amazing! At the end they provided pizza and drinks which were also great!

Expensive but life's too short not too sometimes
Booked the excursion online, for the following Tuesday but was then called by one of the ladies and advised the Tuesday slots that were listed as available were in fact not free, as such I had to take the next day. This was quite disconcerting but via WhatsApp, we exchanged messages regarding the free hotel pick-up and on the day waited outside our hotel. When the Quad Excursions Mini bus arrived we were first in before picking up 2 sets of 2 couples. Both these separate sets were Italians which was a precursor of what was to come. Once We arrived at the Quad Excursions Office in Chio, we were met with at least 8 other tourists who would be on the same excursion which were......all Italian too. Given the fact that we were the only 2 English speakers bar the guides the pre-tour briefing took quite a while. We were offered to take out extra insurance (15 Euros PP) which I always find is a swizz and I figured I would spend the money saved on the pro photos. We were the only 2 that had individual quad bikes but at 140 Euros per bike, it wasn't the cheapest choice. Everyone was advised to leave their back pacts in the car that accompanies the tour but that just meant those that did never go to access their packs till the end of the tour. As it was we headed off and rode along the roads with both a car in front and behind our quad train. The tour involved an initial stop in the woods once off-road which was when most photos were taken. Then we made a second stop near an old lava flow for more photos. At both these stops one of the guides explained in Italian & English the history of the forest and the volcano. On the last third of the tour, we were back on the road and stopped at a cafe in the base town of Chio. Advertised as Pizza & Carva (I thought the idea of a driving event and alcohol a strange bedfellows) it turned into Water and Pork/Chips. After returning to base we were guided through the photos of the day. This was the selling aspect. Pics cost 25 Euros and included all those taken on the day. Truth be told the photos were quite poor quality, i.e. decent camera but poor execution, but I was able to improve them using photo editing software at home. The date we did the tour was Wednesday 04th October 2023. The best aspect was the brilliant female guide/photographer. Take your mobile and take your own photos.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Quad adventure to Teide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Quad adventure to Teide cost?
+
Prices start at €120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Quad adventure to Teide take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Quad adventure to Teide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Quad adventure to Teide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Quad adventure to Teide suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Quad adventure to Teide?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Quad adventure to Teide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour, Teide National Park Sunset & Stargazing Coach Tour – Hotel Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
