Would do it again
We took three tours with them Destination services. Great experiences. Hernan did a great job of helping us on site at the W Costa Rica Playa Conchal. The first excursion was to the rain forest where we hiked, crossed valleys on foot bridges, visited waterfalls, etc. We saw sloths, frogs, toucans, iguanas, etc The second day was the Pura Vida catamaran cruise where we had at ton of fun. We saw turtles, dolphins and were lucky enough to see three or four humpback whales. (including a baby). Great crew (Andre, Stanley, Jorge). Some sort of "boo-boo of uncertain etiology" occurred regarding transportation for this excursion, but it all got worked out. Hernan did a really good job of getting it back on track, and treated us right. The third excursion was to Nicaragua. The company had a Costa Rican driver and guide to get us to breakfast and the border, where they had a Nicaraugan driver and guide take over. There were a couple of slow-downs (as would be expected) with traffic and waiting some in lines at border crossings since this was authentic small-group travel, not a Disnney ride. All the guides and drivers did great job, with the border and everything else. The tour itself included a stop at the shore of Lake Nicaraugua, a market, Granada for lunch and a carriage ride/chocolate shop/cigar factory. The big deal was going up to Masaya volcano. Very impressive. I would recommend Destination Services without reservation. P.S. They were very good about food and bathroom breaks. They use vans rather than buses.
