I Was Terrified!
I was scared and nervous the ENTIRE ride. I specifically asked for the slowest horse and somehow ended up with Little Thugga, who apparently thought he was the leader of the pack and needed to be involved in everything. I talked trash basically the whole time, but the staff was amazing; patient, reassuring, and very kind. Would I personally do it again? Absolutely not. 😂 But if you want a fun horseback riding experience with beautiful views, this is definitely a great option. And watch out for that tall brown horse with the Mohawk. 🥴

wonderful experience!
by far the best excursion of our trip to punta cana from pick up at the hotel to drop off back to the hotel the (guides)cowboys were extremely friendly and nice they don’t pressure you to do anything and the horses are well behaved for the most part they do like going close to each other sometimes but overall 10/10 a great experience

Ocean Views
Beautiful ocean views… I enjoyed the gentle horses and the guides especially Frusto. They took the time to teach us the proper way to guide the horses & also checked on us to make sure we were comfortable. Frusto also assisted in taking videos & pictures for us as well.

BUYER BEWARE
I had booked this ride through the jet blue vacation's package. On Sunday of my departure at 9:00 AM, the horseback riding company called regarding our scheduled ride. I explained that I had not even left the United States yet and that my flight would not arrive in Punta Cana until 1:00 PM. The representative acknowledged this. Later that evening, I called to arrange a new time. I requested 1:00 PM Monday but was told 8:10 AM was the only available option. Although inconvenient, I accepted. My 7-year-old daughter and I arrived at the pickup location at 8:10 AM as instructed. We were placed in a vehicle, only to be told that the driver was waiting for six additional guests. We then sat in the parked vehicle for approximately 45 minutes. During that time, I repeatedly contacted the owner and explained that we had already been waiting for 45 minutes. I asked if the driver could simply take us to the horseback riding location rather than continue making us wait indefinitely. I was told we had to keep waiting. Once it hit the 45-minute mark I left. He then rudely told me that since I had paid through JetBlue, I would not receive a refund. Jet Blue was horrified to hear this; they made things right but encouraged me to leave a review so this companies would stop taking advantage of Americans. They found it completely unacceptable that I fulfilled my obligation by arriving at the designated pickup location at the exact time I was given. This horrible company failed to provide transportation or the excursion within a reasonable amount of time. A customer should not be expected to sit indefinitely in a parked vehicle, particularly with a young 7 yr child, because the operator is waiting for additional customers. So if those additional customers didn't arrive in 3 hours, we would be expected to wait for 3 hours??? There are many reputable companies to go with for horseback riding, this one is not one of them. BEWARE
Response from the operator: We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially traveling with your daughter. We want to clarify that at no point was it our intention to make you wait indefinitely, much less to disrespect you. Our transportation service operates by coordinating the pickup of several customers taking the same excursion, so occasionally it may be necessary to wait for other passengers to arrive before proceeding to the activity location. We understand, however, that a wait of approximately 45 minutes can be frustrating, especially when traveling with a child. We regret that the situation ended this way and we take your feedback seriously, as it helps us review our pickup processes and customer communication. We are also glad to hear that JetBlue was able to assist with the refund issue. We respect your opinion and regret that you had a negative impression of our service. Our goal is always to provide a pleasant and safe experience for all our customers

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 1,136 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding?
+
Around 398 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Beach Horseback Riding start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
