Disappointed.
I have used viator before. This was the first time I was unhappy. We had to wait 45 mins for our car to arrive for pickup. Disappointed because I book the pickup ahead of time because I am traveling with kids and to wait for 45 mins is hard
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly understand how difficult waiting can be, especially when traveling with children, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify how airport pickups work. At Punta Cana Airport, all transportation providers must follow strict airport regulations. Drivers are not allowed to wait at the terminal curbside and can only approach the pickup area once passengers have completed immigration, baggage claim, and exited the terminal. This process is managed by airport authorities and is unfortunately beyond the control of any transfer company. Once our driver received clearance to proceed, the vehicle arrived as instructed by airport security. While the wait can feel long after a flight, this procedure applies equally to all transportation services operating at the airport. We sincerely regret the inconvenience you experienced and appreciate your understanding. Your feedback is important to us, and we remain committed to providing safe, professional, and reliable service to all our guests. Kind regards, Cristian Customer Relations Manager

Bait and switch
It was not a good experience. Nore of a bait and switch. Once I confirmed that I was within the travel distance covered by this service, I booked. I was later told that I was outside of their range and that I would need to pay an additional $30. I was not informed of this until after the 24 hr cancelation period had expired.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, We’re truly sorry for the misunderstanding and inconvenience caused. Our service areas are based on hotel zones, and sometimes Viator’s system does not automatically recognize which zone a specific hotel belongs to. This can result in a price adjustment after booking when the hotel is located outside the selected area — such as Uvero Alto or La Romana, which are farther from the Punta Cana airport. Please note that in these cases, guests are always offered the option to cancel for a full refund if they prefer not to pay the difference. We never wish to put our customers in an uncomfortable situation and truly regret that this caused frustration. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us continue improving the clarity of our listings and communication with travelers. Warm regards, Cristian Luna Manager – HQT Punta Cana

Don’t Book!!!
Don’t book!! It was pure chaos!!!! They charged us an additional 60US dollars after paying $140US on the site “Viator”after specifically asking the representative and calling viator or directly, to inquire about an additional cost. We were in another country forced to pay an additional fee to get to our hotel. Viator stated they would refund but has yet to do so. The driver said they weren’t and they just told us that to get us off the phone. There were no amenities and no extra upgrades for this additional course. It was ridiculous. Worst experience and transportation, and this is not the first time Viator has messed up my booking.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, We’re very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your transfer. However, we would like to clarify that the additional $60 USD was not an extra charge from our company but rather the correct rate adjustment based on the hotel’s actual location. All our listings on Viator clearly explain that prices vary depending on the destination area — for example, Punta Cana, Uvero Alto, or La Romana/Further Away. We also send a confirmation message before your arrival advising guests to verify their hotel location on Google Maps and choose the proper option. When a different zone is selected by mistake, customers always have the choice to contact Viator to modify the booking or pay the difference upon arrival, whichever they prefer. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, especially when traveling internationally, but please know that we follow Viator’s refund and policy procedures exactly as listed. Our goal is always to ensure a transparent, reliable, and comfortable Punta Cana airport transportation service for every traveler. Warm regards, Cristian Luna Customer Relations Manager – HQT Punta Cana
