    We had a wonderful time...

We had a wonderful time with Enrique (who happens to be the owner)! We stopped at 4 taco spots and had a wonderful tour of the city! My family and I have been traveling to Puerto Vallarta for 28 years. We have our favorite spots and usually kept to what we knew. Going on this tour opened our eyes so much! We visited parts of town that we'd never been to before. It was wonderful. Along the tour Enrique told us about a lot of his favorite spots to eat (not just tacos), by the time we were done with the tour I had a list of 20 new places to try!! So fun! It was wonderful to have a guide who knew where to go, plus we had some great tacos! We were in a very comfortable van with AC and didn't have to do too much walking (which was needed for a couple people in our group). I would highly recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: Muchas gracias! I had a wonderful time sharing my 'secret' spots with you. As an owner, nothing makes me happier than seeing long-time PV lovers discover a part of the city they’ve never seen before. I’m so glad the taco stops were a hit and that your group enjoyed the comfortable ride. You have a great family, and I look forward to hearing which of those 20 restaurants becomes your new favorite!

“Who booked this? This was a great idea!”

…that’s what my family said! We came hungry, and what a delicious time we had! Our guide Enrique was so friendly & patient with us; he felt like part of the fam! Tour was informative …& not just about tacos… but about other foods, Mexican culture and the city of PV too. It’s a fun city tour with tacos & alcohol versus just facts and stories where I’m sure my family would have gotten bored! As a chef himself, the spots Enrique took us too were delish, and he also recommended several other restaurants for us to try on our own. Though it’s easy to walk around the city center, our concern of being so hot prompted us to specifically choose this tour with transportation…so glad we did! :)

Response from the operator: I’m so glad you came hungry and left happy! It was a privilege to guide your family through the streets and flavors of PV. Being a chef, I’m very picky about where we stop, so I’m thrilled you found every bite delicious. Thank you for choosing the van tour to beat the heat—it definitely makes the margaritas taste even better! Safe travels, and come back to see us soon!

    A Puerto Vallarta must!

Vicho, our tour guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even made accommodations for the vegetarian in the group. The tacos were excellent and we stopped into a beautiful church as well.

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your vacation memories. We look forward to seeing you again in PV. ¡Hasta la próxima!

    Best Taco tour ever!

We loved this Taco tour from the moment we met Enrique until the end. He gave such great information about Puerto Vallarta, showed us such interesting towns and their history. He was fun, friendly and a great host. And the tacos - All were delicious in interesting local restaurants in different parts of town. First time I did a tour like this driving in their vehicle and it made it so much easier for us as 2 of us have difficulty walking at the moment. Can’t wait to do more of your tours in San Jose next year! Thank you Enrique for going above and beyond.

Response from the operator: What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for taking our Puerto Vallarta #JuanMoreTacoTour and for your incredibly kind words. I loved sharing the history and interesting corners of Puerto Vallarta with you, and I'm so glad you found the tour both informative and fun. And of course, the tacos! It's always a joy to introduce guests to those authentic, delicious flavors from our carefully selected local spots. We're already looking forward to welcoming you to San Jose for another one of our tours next year! Thank you again for your amazing feedback and for recognizing the effort we put in. It was a pleasure being your guide! GRACIAS!

Amazing tour guide and great tour

Incredible tour of local restaurants and so much delicious. That said the best part was getting to learn about the culture and venture into restaurants we would have otherwise passed by.

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for your candid review, looking forwars¡d to your next visit.

Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.

How much does Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $725 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.

Is Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Puerto Vallarta Tacos, Culture, and Local Life Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
