We loved Las Caletas!!
This was our first excursion during our trip and it did not disappoint!! The ride to/from the private beach was so fun thanks to the staff. Herman took great pictures of us and the entertainers did a great lipsync of The Black Eyed Peas!! There were so many team members ready to help once you reached the island. It was easy to get drinks throughout the day. The water was so beautiful! It was easy to relax before doing the activities. The food was so fresh!! It is a designated lunchtime right before leaving the private beach.

Great time
Las Caletas delivered a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The operation is run with true professionalism, and the staff are warm, engaging, and genuinely entertaining. The water is stunning, the scenery is breathtaking, and there are countless activities to enjoy, making the day feel full and memorable. We had such an incredible time that my husband and I immediately booked another visit to enjoy the dolphin and sea lion swim. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Response from the operator: Hola Cassondra, What a wonderful way to experience Las Caletas! 🌴 We’re so glad the beautiful setting, variety of activities, and warmth of our team made your day stand out. And hearing that you and your husband booked a dolphin and sea lion swim right afterward absolutely made our day! We hope you enjoy your next adventure just as much—and leave already wondering what to try next with us! 😊 Warm regards,

Not worth the money.
We booked the Las Caletas tour with the Tour Desk at our resort and departure by boat was 8 am. We were dropped off at the Island by 9 and were offered some welcome tacos and juice, then went off to explore. We had only one child who was 7 years old and could not go on the big kid activities. She was scheduled to go to the kids adventure park at noon... All adults and older kids rushed to get as much done as possible so that we could be back at the kids park in time so our little could also experience some adventure... We should have split up since the park is very spread out and it takes a loooong time to walk from one area to another. It is quite a hike! We were unfortunately 7 minutes late to the kids adventure park and they had already started without our little one, so she missed out on some things. The guide was kind enough to still let her partake in Ziplining and face painting at least. Everything felt super rushed, like we did not have time for anything. We did not get to do all the activities eat or drink anything form the "open bar!" It felt like we were running back-and-forth from activity to activity all day! The location itself is beautiful but the place is very unorganized! The kicker was that our pickup was supposed to be at 3 pm and our boat did not arrive until 4 pm. I guess 4 pm must be 3 pm in Mexico time?!?! While we waited by the docks we walked back to see if we could at least enjoy some drinks while we sat there but we were told the bar was closed and that we were only able to get water! We also had not gotten anything to eat all day! My wife tried the cooking class and said that when she got there they had already started so she missed a bit of the initial instructions. She again had to walk so far from A to B that it caused her to be a bit late. She was disappointed since she really wanted to learn the techniques. The nicest part was the virtual reality ride. It lt was cool to have a ride like that in the middle of a jungle and we were happy to at least get a little value out of that. Ziplining was cool, but dangerous! The operator was rushing to get people down since the lineup was huge. He told me to push off too early and I hit my tailbone on the edge of the platform going down... Three weeks later and my back still hurts! I am going to see an accupuncturist tomorrow in the hopes I can get some relief. Overall, it is a cool park and the nature that surrounds it is beautiful but don't get there thinking you will have time to do everything and do not expect to get value for your money. This place is definitely overpriced for what it offers. We won't return and do not recommend. There are nicer activities tours to do in PVR instead.

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 843 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar?
+
Around 295 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Puerto Vallarta Las Caletas, Adventure Park & Lunch with Open Bar start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
