Mi Abuelo Ranch is great! 5 stars

I would highly recommend spending time at this ranch. Our guide was the owner herself and her husband took us horseback riding. They showed us their beautiful farm where you find fruit trees of all kinds. They'll allowed us to relax in their coal Springs filled with natural water. The tequila tasting was so much fun and the food was tremendous. This is a must on your Puerto Vallarta trip!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for giving us 5 stars! It was truly a pleasure welcoming you to Rancho Mi Abuelo and sharing our family ranch with you. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the horseback ride, the fruit trees, our natural spring pools, the tequila tasting, and especially the food. Your kind recommendation means a great deal to our entire family and team. We hope to welcome you back the next time you visit Puerto Vallarta! Warm regards, The Rancho Mi Abuelo Family

The best beans in the WORLD

A unique and magical experience at Rancho mi Abuelo. Excellent guide, company, place, and above all, the food is delicious and unique. You will find the best beans in the world here. The food is very delicious and homemade, just like when you visited your grandparents as a child. I recommend the tour and the food from this great family team.

Response from the operator: ¡Muchísimas gracias por compartir una reseña tan bonita!

    Authentic Mexican Cooking Class

Rancho Mi Abuelo was a remarkable mountain retreat just south of Puerto Vallarta. My two friends and I participated in a private Mexican cooking class and it was fabulous. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Our instructor took us through the preparation of pico de gallo, guacamole, roasted veggie salsa and the star of the show, chili rellenos. We were in an open air setting, under the trees and surrounded by the authentic ranch setting. The cooking was done over an open fire and we even made our own tortillas from scratch. After our prep, the staff set up a lovely table for us to enjoy our culinary creations. It was really special and delicious. Our chef instructor, Olimpia, was just the best as well. She made everything easy, and she was so friendly. She made us very comfortable with learning some new cooking skills. I have done many excursions in the Puerto Vallarta area, and I must say this was a real winner. If you enjoy an out of doors, rustic but chic setting, you'll love this place. The cooking class is just one of their offerings. You can even spend the night in one of their quaint cabins.

Response from the operator: Dear Margovo, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted that you and your friends enjoyed your private cooking class and the authentic atmosphere of Rancho Mi Abuelo. It means a lot to know that you appreciated the fresh ingredients, handmade tortillas, traditional recipes, and the opportunity to cook outdoors surrounded by nature. Creating genuine Mexican culinary experiences is our passion, and we're thrilled that it made your visit memorable. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back to Rancho Mi Abuelo on your next visit to Puerto Vallarta. Warm regards, Rancho Mi Abuelo Team 🌿🇲🇽🔥

    Great Experience

Owner picked me up in PV, gave me some history on the area and the Ranch. Chef Laura was awesome. Was given a tour of the Ranch property. Horses, ATV’s, Restaurant, Cabins, soaking pools, hiking, etc. Just had a great time. The best thing….the people who work on the Ranch. Super nice and gracious. Highly recommend. ❤️

Response from the operator: Dear Paul, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It was a pleasure meeting you and showing you around Rancho Mi Abuelo. We are especially happy to hear that you enjoyed Chef Laura's cooking class, the ranch tour, our natural pools, and the peaceful surroundings. Your kind words about our team mean a lot to us. We truly believe that hospitality comes from the heart, and we're delighted that this was part of your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Rancho Mi Abuelo whenever your travels bring you to Puerto Vallarta again. Warm regards, Rancho Mi Abuelo Team

Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.

How much does Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools cost?

    +

Prices start at $1595 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.

Is Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Puerto Vallarta Cooking Class with Tequila & Natural Pools start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
