Creating memories
What a wonderful trip this was. We had 12 people on our trip and we had a wonderful time. Mario was a fantastic guide and took us to a few extra places that we asked to go to!

Lovely Daytrip from San Diego
This was most of our group’s first time in Mexico. Renee made the trip seamless and tailored our experience to our needs (more than half of our group doesn’t drink). We enjoyed taking in the scenery and feasting on lobsters. Getting back stateside was also painless. Highly recommend!

Best Day Ever! 10/10 Experience!
First of all, Mario was absolutely incredible. He is the owner-operator and throughout the entire day, he made sure we had what we needed, that we were taken care of, shared information and facts about the places we were visiting or passing by, and I felt genuinely cared for. If you ever have the opportunity to go on a tour with Mario, take it. You will be blown away by the service, care, communication, and how knowledgeable, personable, and fun he is! This tour was a wonderful experience, 10/10. I went with a group of five friends. We went from Chula Vista down to Playas de Tijuana followed by spending time in Rosarito, had the most delicious lobster and margarita at Puerto Nuevo, added on an ATV excursion in Los Arenales, and saw the most beautiful sunset at Cuatro Cuatros where we indulged in more food and wine. On the way back, Mario was kind enough to stop by Tijuana again so we could get more tacos! Overall, I could not be happier about this experience led by Mario and Baja California Wine Tours. It was so memorable and fun! I highly recommend it to anyone - whether you are on your own or with a group of friends or family.

Great time
Mario was a great tour guide, we went to several different locations in Mexico, he was very knowledgeable. His communication before the trip was great. Would definitely recommend and would use this company again.

Fabulously fun
Mario was incredible! Every detail of our tour was perfectly executed. We were a group of 6 and loved every minute from the margaritas, to the lobster and fabulous shopping. Worth a second trip! Thank you for a great experience.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Diego.
How much does Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Diego usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Diego is not rushed.
Is Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Diego, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Diego can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Diego and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Margaritas and Mariachi Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Diego within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Diego?
+
San Diego is an outdoor-first city: whale watching from December through April, La Jolla kayak and snorkel runs year round, harbour cruises and the USS Midway, plus Balboa Park museums when the marine layer sits low. We rank water operators on group ratios and gear quality, which is where the cheap La Jolla trips fall down. On Outty we rank every San Diego experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include USS Midway Museum Admission: Valid Any Date, Taste of Little Italy in San Diego, San Diego Whale Watching Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Diego?
+
March to May and September to November, either side of the June overcast. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Diego?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
