    Questionable positive reviews

For some reason holiday sites seem desperate to promote Puerto de la Cruz with questionable positive reviews. Or, perhaps these reviews are from people over the age of 60, since you'll struggle to find anyone below that age. Most hotels host Bingo or ballroom dancing as their 'only' entertainment. I spent a week there last year. It was awful. There are literally no pubs/bars or night life at all, since everywhere closes early. The only places to go for drinks are restaurants, and they close before 11pm, including weekends. There are 'no beaches', only rocks and black sand.

    Day out

Lovely way to see the north side of the island. It would have taken too long by using the local bus. This way it was easy way and would recommend it.

Visit to Puerto de la Cruz

The coach was late on both pickup and return. Seats are quite uncomfortable and other passengers reclined their seats making it even more uncomfortable. The person checking passengers onto coach left the tour on the outward journey and the driver was unable to communicate clearly when we were dropped off meaning another passenger had to check where our pick up point was with the tour operator. On the return journey we were taken to various resorts for drop offs, this didn't happen when we were picked up so a different route was followed meaning we were on the coach for longer than needed. When we asked to leave the coach at a different drop off point which was actually closer to our apartment than where we were picked up the driver couldn't understand us and came over quite rude. We did worry what would happen in an emergency as the driver couldn't understand us.

Nice Town. Nicer than South of Island. Pity about weather. We had food in a nice restaurant.. Driver was pleasant.

    It's exactly what it says

This is a bus transfer from southern resorts to a really beautiful norther resort Puerto de la Cruz. This is exactly what we wanted and what we got. Getting there from Golf del Sur by public transport is a hassle that takes nearly 3 hours (if you're lucky). But with this option the bus takes you straight from your hotel to Jardin Beach in less than 2 hours (depending where you start from). We had approximately 6 hours to look around PDLC on our own. We walked on the beach, went up the hill to see the botanical gardens and enjoy great views to the sea. It really is worth the trip, just keep in mind you are on your own.

Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers cost?

    +

Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Puerto de la Cruz City Tour with Transfers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
